The atmosphere is beautiful you can come here like a starbucks and relax. The coffee is not strong and flavorless so if you looking for really good coffee this place needs some improvement. Also the most important part that i wanted to address is, they need to improve how they are washing dishes, it’s very unsanitary that they wash their coffee mugs and tea kettles etc with just a dirty old worn out sponge and dish soap. We need steam and daily sponge changing and/or bleach
I promise you, this is a must visit. The desserts are suppperrrr delicious and the ADENI TEA is amazing. I usually visit around the evenings and there are seats available. The dragonfruit tea is also a great choice. But definitely, a nice welcoming, cozy, clean, and lively place. Good place to sit and chat, and very aesthetically pleasing. Even if it’s just for a minute, take the time to enjoy their teas or milk cakes. Bathroom is nice but customers are not the best in cleaning after themselves. The employees are very sweet and they truly go the extra mile. Very friendly and polite. Enjoy your sweet cravings, love azal!!!
So now that AZAL is settled in, I went there to buy a snack. Upon entry there was loud arabic music playing over a low quality audio system. Since I did not intend to stay, I went ahead anyway to peruse their products. I selected a spinach danish. The items do not have pricing displayed. Normally I just walk out when I see this, but I was in a hurry and was still hopeful that AZAL would live up to its dazzling interior decor. No such luck. I was charged $8.90 for an item weighing less than 3 ounces (see picture). Three doors down a similar product is priced at about 4 to 5 dollars, standard for NYC including Manhattan. I went to check the menu and price on the AZAL website. No menu, and no list of items available for sale. Also the town name is wrong. This area is not known as Flushing (the post office is a satellite of the main Flushing office). With multiple coffee shops within sight of this place - go elsewhere folks. Let a more useful business come in and provide a service that is actually useful.
— Do nott get their Biscoff Latte, it doesn’t taste like biscoff at all it’s jsut bitter coffee, and even when I asked for more sweetener it was still on the bitter side. — I’m not sure about their other pastries but their Hot chocolate was realllyy good would def recommend that. — The interior is really beautiful and aesthetic and the service was very smooth and workers were very polite. Music was a bit too loud tho.
The tea, atmosphere, and service is always amazing. I come almost every day with friends and we order their Adeni chai and it’s always super good and the servers: Imad n Mohammad are always lit. The chai is so much better than other Yemeni spots n they have holders for the pots keeping the chai always warm. Alhamdulillah for this place
