C'est La Vie - Pastries Breakfast & Dinner
1553 Main St, Sarasota, FL
Crema's Take
“This charming Sarasota spot nails that coveted Parisian café vibe, complete with a laid-back crowd of locals and their lap dogs, making every visit feel like a mini escape to the French countryside. The pastries are genuinely exceptional—apricot croissants and palmiers are clearly worth planning your morning around—and they're paired with solid cappuccinos that deserve to be dunked right into those buttery layers. Whether you're grabbing breakfast with a side of coastal charm or lingering over an evening dessert, the attentive service and genuinely delicious food make C'est La Vie feel less like a tourist stop and more like your new Sarasota ritual.”

Me and my husband come to Sarasota frequently and every time we come we try to explore a new breakfast place. C’est La Vie is now at the top of our list! The apricot croissant is so delicious we had to get another one before we left. All their pastries and baked goods are made fresh. My husband ordered an avocado toast and I got an omelette. Both were pretty tasty. The fruit bowl had kiwi and fresh fruits! Usually other breakfast places just put a few grapes, one strawberry and dried out pieces of melon. This was not the case at all, which was a nice surprise. We’ll be back soon!
A wonderful place for outdoor breakfast or lunch. Service was attentive and quick. The food was very good as well. Atmosphere is very 'Sarasota' (lots of small dogs in laps and under tables) the place is pricey but in line with the area. Waits can be significant so arrive a bit on the early side. (The selection of French bakery items is amazing!!)
Wow this place has an amazing ambiance. If you get there at the right time in the morning it can feel like you're in Paris... Until people start talking lol. The food is honestly amazing. Coffee was superb. No complaints
Took a weekend trip to Sarasota and popped in here for dessert one evening before they closed and I just have to say that it’s one of the best places my mom and I visited the entire trip. I had the best chocolate croissant of my life (not pictured because I hate it so quickly) and this absolutely decadent chocolate mousse cake. Next time I’m in town, I’ll have to come by earlier and have a proper meal because the atmosphere was just to die for
Best breakfast we had in Siesta! Cappuccinos were great, even better when dipping a Palmier pastry in it! 🥐 All our dishes were 10/10. Highly recommend! We also tried the Nutella, Strawberry, and Banana with whipped cream crepe. It was delicious! 🍓
