Crema's Take

This tiny Steamboat Springs spot punches way above its weight with hearty breakfast burritos (the pulled pork El Capitan is a standout) and friendly counter service that feels genuinely warm. While their specialty coffee drinks can be inconsistent—some reviewers rave about the chai latte while others found theirs over-milked—the cozy, no-frills atmosphere and vegetarian and gluten-free options make it a beloved annual stop for visitors and locals alike. If you're passing through town craving serious breakfast food over a quick coffee, this little house is exactly where you want to land.

Driving through Steamboat. Bought a 16 oz iced chai latte. It was terribly milked down. All you tasted was milk and no chai flavor. What a HUGE disappointment and a waste of my money!!

Really good breakfast burritos and coffee drinks! We stop every year when visiting Steamboat. They have vegetarian and gluten free options and the folks who work there are very friendly. Cozy inside dinning or fast take away

Searched for a last minute place for breakfast, and we are so glad we chose here. Don't let its size fool you. The restaurant may be small, but the food packs a huge punch! We chose the Bird is the Word & Gravy Train. For the drink options, we had water and the Chai Latte. That was probably the best Chai Tea I've ever had. The aroma and seasoning in the Chai was perfect. We would absolutely recommend to friends and family!

Got the burrito and biscuit w sausage patty. The pulled pork in the burrito was awesome - El Capitan is recommenced. The NC biscuit was tasty and good, but sausage patty was small. Just overall smaller than expected. It was good tho. The coffee was great and reasonable price.

A small place with counter service and really good food. I had the breakfast burrito which was very good - but what made the experience was the friendliness of the woman working the counter. She chatted with everyone and her energy was wonderful. It really created a lovely atmosphere at this local spot.
