Empresso Coffeehouse
222 N El Dorado St, Stockton, CA
Crema's Take
“This downtown Stockton spot pulls off the tricky balance of being both a serious espresso destination and a genuinely welcoming hangout space, with multiple cozy nooks that invite you to stay awhile. Beyond the thoughtfully crafted coffee, their kitchen game is strong—the vegetarian bagels packed with fresh avocado and hummus are as crave-worthy as their espresso drinks. Just know that experience can be a bit hit-or-miss depending on who's behind the bar and what's playing, but when it clicks, it's a really special neighborhood coffeehouse.”

Good coffee, super rude employees that can't seem to get your order right.
Staff was very nice and accommodating to a larger order. Drinks were amazing as usual.
I love this Empresso Coffee House location in downtown! It's a beautiful spot with plenty of cozy areas to chill inside. Whether you want to grab a couch, sit at the barstools, or even use the bathroom, they’ve got it all. The staff is always friendly, making it a great place to relax and enjoy your coffee.
I've been craving their vegetarian bagel which includes hummus, avocado, pieces of cucumbers, tomatoes, and onions and it's flavorful, refreshing, and filling. Everything on the bagel tasted and looked fresh, even the avocado spread. I love meat but their bagel hits the spot and I'm happy I stopped by while I was in the area. 5/5 I had their iced matcha with coconut milk and it was refreshing and not too sweet just how I like. (sorry you all I made a mistake and the matcha drink here was good, I mistook this drink to another matcha drink I had recently). Just a reminder I need to be on top of my reviews. Oppsies, rant over sorry. I was hoping it would have a stronger matcha taste but it was better than other matcha drinks I've had. 4.5/5 The staff was welcoming when we walked in and the area has about 6 tables or so and the aesthetics are modernized. As we waited for my bagel and drink there appeared to be a lot of regulars getting their coffee fix. I had a good experience, especially since the vegetarian bagel hit the spot just like it did the first time I had it. I was not disappointed with their bagel. It was one of the highlights of this spot.
Reviewers said the atmosphere was good..but we had a different scenario.. baristas talked loud like they were in a Bar.. and the music didn't jive with the settings.. hard rock was a bit loud that people had to talk over the music.. yes they have books 📚 on the wall.. so maybe when it's a different group of baristas. Yup... one of the ladies left and the music came down to how a coffee shop should be. I will leave 2 stars on the atmosphere.. and try again next time
