Crema's Take

The owners here pull some of the most technically precise espresso in Portland—reviewers are genuinely obsessed with the cappuccino foam—and back it up with spiced chai that actually tastes like chai instead of sugar water. The pastries and bagels are uncommonly good for the price, made fresh daily, and the whole operation runs with a warmth that feels genuinely rare for a coffee shop. Fair warning: seating is tight and the owner might charge you less than you expect, which is either delightful or mildly uncomfortable depending on your constitution.

What to expect

Espresso-focused. A slow-sit, outdoor seating spot, good for meetings. Full breakfast and pastries on the menu. Family friendly.

Such a nice surprise to walk into this cute small cafe on a rainy day and randomly had possibly some of the best pastries I’ve ever had. The coffee is also rich in flavor and the chai is spicy. 100% recommended!

Absolutely the best chai ❤️ All of the other places in Portland I've tried are way too sweet. The prices on the pastries and bagels (with cream cheese) are great! Seating is limited.

I wish I got a larger cup of coffee! Deliciously smooth brew (got an iced latte with syrup) that came with wonderful, kind conversation from the owners. Their pastries are flavorful, I highly recommend the blackberry “pop tart”. Only complaint is that the alt milk price was $1…

Hands down best cappuccino foam in town. Possibly even the state. Maybe the world? idk I haven’t been to every coffee shop but I figure why bother at this point. Amazing drinks, pastries, prices, and, most importantly, incredible mother daughter duo making the world a better…

The nicest woman I’ve met so far in Portland—and she criminally undercharges. I only paid $7 for a customized coffee and a huge cinnamon roll. In 2023. Please go visit this shop, you will come back.
