Crema's Take
“This beloved Del Mar spot pulls in crowds for good reason: the coffee is excellent, the service stays warm and attentive even during peak lunch rushes, and the food—from lox bagels to their famously refreshing Arnold Palmers—consistently delivers. Fair warning that Friday lunch means a packed house, but locals keep returning for the combination of quality ingredients, welcoming staff, and that hard-to-find balance between being a serious coffee destination and a full-service neighborhood gathering place.”

I've wanted to visit here for the longest time. Finally went and was disappointed. The place was a zoo, both inside and out. Don't go on a Friday at lunch apparently. The cashier/host complained openly about management and their abysmal employment. Got a Rubin and a roast beef sandwich to go. The Rubin was great, but the roast beef was plain. The problem that I have is the place is severely overpriced for what you get. We paid the embarrassing amount of $44 for what i thought would be twice the amount of food. I think this place has good food, but the price is a joke as well as having to listen to the greeter, first impression, face of the establishment, no bueno.
We had a very nice time at Milton's a few days ago. It has very easy access to the front entrance and parking was not a problem. We were seated immediately and our server, who was very welcoming and friendly, took our order quickly. The food was very good but a bit expensive (like everything else, these days). All in all, it was a very nice stop on the way home from the fairgrounds.
Super busy when we got there, but got seated fairly quickly. Place was packed, but our server was composed, friendly, and attentive. I got the lox on an onion bagel and it was really good. Only snafu was that my daughter got onions on her sandwich when she asked for none, but she just picked them off and I added them to mine. Win/win! Will definitely go again next time I'm out there.
Pricey but delicious food & great service. Wasn't happy with the potato pancakes! How hard is that?? Tasted like it was filled with cornbread or mashed potatoes instead of grated 🫤 Excellent coffee, delicious salads & sandwiches. Was very loud in there!
Always appealing and fantastic tasting food, no matter what the order is. Best Arnold Palmer in the area. Desserts are not abundant on the menu, but quite abundant in the deli section - where you can find many favorites and unique dishes. The banana pudding can be hit or miss as it may be just right, or be like a chunky soup - but that's okay since it goes down flavorful and all. Don't miss out and try the food here.
