C&H Bagels
5001 N Figueroa St, Los Angeles, CA
Crema's Take
“C&H Bagels is a Montreal-style bagel spot that doubles as a genuine third space with bright, simple interiors and a welcoming patio where you can linger over work or conversation. Beyond the consistently excellent crunchy bagels, their coffee program shines with creative drinks like the vanilla cardamom latte that's earned just as much praise as their soft-scrambled eggs and loaded specialty sandwiches. It's the kind of neighborhood sleeper hit where quality ingredients and genuine hospitality make every visit feel a little more intentional than a typical bagel run.”

Good bagel place. Inside is bright and simple. Decent amount of seating. A nice place to grab a bite or even do a little work. There's also a small side patio area. The bagels are good. Nice simple menu of bagels, breakfast, and there's even a breakfast burrito. Service was good. Friendly staff. Street parking only but might have to walk a block or two.
This place is a sleeper hit for more Montreal-esque bagels and it’s entirely on par with Courage Bagels for their texture. However, their cream cheese and lox flavors have some room for improvement before catching up to Courage, as well as their produce toppings before catching up to Layla Bagels. The guy inside manning the cash register was super nice and there was no wait, so that wins out both of those establishments in that department.
The food is consistently fantastic. I LOVE their soft-scrambled eggs. Theirs is more of a crunchy, Montreal-style bagel and I’m a fan. Quality produce and ingredients. The service is always welcoming and kind. The dining space is surrounded by tall windows, so sunlight pours in from all directions, lending to a pleasant atmosphere. There is a nice patio for outdoor dining as well. This is an exemplary neighborhood spot that I happily return to as often as I can.
Not only are their Bagels delicious, their lattes are just as fantastic. The vanilla cardamom latte takes me back to the highlands of Guatemala where the cardamon is abundant. The Orange and cinnamon latte is like a warm hug. It is especially enjoyable the closer we get to the holiday season. Well done! Wishing y’all success
Came on a Sunday afternoon, and wasn’t that busy but plenty of people came within the hour that I visited- to go orders and people dining in. I ordered the salmon bagel speciality. It was loaded! The service was very attentive and kind. Everything tasted fresh! They even sell these beautiful heirloom tomatoes from their supplier at the counter, which they also use in their dishes. Plenty of seating & lots of natural light. I will definitely be back!
