Pure Bean

I wish I could rate it higher, because I used to love Pure Bean. The new owners clearly want to rebrand, and they were successful, because it no longer has the same energy at all. The drinks are insanely overpriced compared to what they were. The thing I loved most about Pure Bean was their unique rotation of drinks that changed often. Those are gone. The atmosphere is different now as well. When I last came a while ago, the chalkboard was full of events, both from the community and Pure Bean themselves- game nights especially. Now, there is only one event on the board, which is sad to see. I also got kind of caught up on them advertising Mary Kay at the counter. Between the pricing and other changes, I will not be returning.

The sitting area is nice and I really appreciate how the owners have introduced Turkish items into the menu; it’s a great addition and something I genuinely enjoy. Prices have risen well above other coffeehouses in the area, making it hard to justify the cost. Drink quality has been inconsistent (I am not blaming the new baristas, as I am sure it is a lot to learn), and recent changes feel less rewarding for regular customers. I miss the old baristas and the Friday evening community events. The sense of connection seems to be fading.

If you haven’t been to Pure Coffee Hub in Rapid City yet, you are seriously missing out! I recently stopped by to grab a round of drinks for my workmates, and the whole office is still raving about it. The standout for me? They make authentic Turkish coffee. If you’ve never tried one, it is such a special treat! You can really taste the quality and care in every sip—all of their syrups and chai are made in-house, which makes a world of difference. Our office favorites: • Turkish Coffee: Bold, rich, and a must-try. • Chai Tea: My coworkers loved this—you can tell it's handcrafted. • Caramel Frappe & Iced Espresso: Perfectly balanced and delicious. We also treated ourselves to some of their food, and the homemade Turkish cheese bagels and Turkish carrot cake rolls were absolute hits. Everyone loved them! What really made the experience was the amazing customer service. Sandy, her sister, and Timber were so helpful and gave the best suggestions while I was ordering. I’m already planning my next visit to try a different Turkish drink—there are just so many great choices! The space itself is warm and welcoming, making it a great place to host a party or a networking group. Rapid City has a real gem here!

I stumbled on Pure Bean during a short visit to Rapid City, and I’m so glad I did. Such a great space to sit and relax, and the baristas were super kind and helpful. I settled on the “Cardigan” latte, which was incredible and unique with its spicy saltiness. Definitely worth a stop!

This place is amazing. The atmosphere, the coffee and especially the service. I was only in South Dakota for a few days, and this place was the perfect spot to get some work done and relax. I also got to chat with two of the team members Remi & Maria. Meeting them was honestly a highlight of my trip. They were exactly the kind of friendly faces I was hoping I’d run into. They were kind, curious, offered me some great recommendations, and craft a great latte. Thanks Remi, Maria & Pure Bean for making my trip to Rapid City memorable, cheers ☕️
