Crema's Take

Crispy Heaven Bakery is a hidden gem that blurs the line between serious bakery and full-service restaurant, with genuinely excellent baguettes and a signature blister-crusted pizza that arrives with an enviable char. Whether you're settling in for Turkish eggs and a carefully pulled espresso or discovering their made-from-scratch pastries, the kitchen treats every item with the same care, making this spot equally beloved as a leisurely brunch destination and a casual dinner retreat. It's the kind of place where regulars linger over coffee and the occasional walk-in becomes a regular.

What a special spot! We had the Turkish eggs, salmon platter, a matcha latte and a regular latte. Everything was delicious. Service was friendly and attentive. We had a reservation, although there wind up being no line when we arrived due to bad weather.

At Crispy Heaven, the crust alone makes a statement. Before you even get to the toppings, the pizza comes out with that blistered, lightly charred edge and soft, airy center that tells you it was handled properly. It’s the kind of place where the food lands on the table and everyone instinctively reaches in. Crispy Heaven leans into comfort food, but it does it with real care. The bread basket had a crisp exterior and a warm, chewy interior that actually tasted like fresh bread, not filler. I don’t eat pepperoni or cheeseburgers, but my friend ordered both and was genuinely impressed. The pepperoni pie had a balanced sauce-to-cheese ratio with a nice kick from the toppings, and the burger was thick, juicy, and properly cooked with melted cheddar and a pile of crisp fries. Based on how quickly both disappeared, they clearly deliver. The margherita with fresh basil and burrata in the center was the one I focused on. Once the burrata started to melt into the tomato sauce, it tied everything together in a way that felt rich but not heavy. The tacos were another standout for me. Well-seasoned meat, fresh cilantro and onion, and a creamy green sauce that added brightness without overpowering the flavor of the beef. The steak plate was cooked exactly how you want it, with roasted vegetables that still had texture and life to them instead of being overdone. And the service was excellent. Warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly without hovering. It felt easy and welcoming from start to finish. Places like Crispy Heaven give a block personality. As someone who’s constantly around the city for real estate, I always pay attention to the restaurants that feel like they actually belong in the neighborhood. This is one of them. If you’re craving pizza, tacos, burgers, or a solid steak dinner in a relaxed setting, Crispy Heaven lives up to its name.

Unfortunately, breakfast is only served until 4 PM, and we arrived later without realizing it, so we ended up staying for dinner instead on Saturday. No regrets though. The Margherita pizza was excellent with crispy dough. The owner is incredibly attentive and welcoming. Thanks to her, we tried the pear tarte tatin with vanilla ice cream, which was absolutely delicious. Her genuine care for the guests truly won us over. We will definitely come back again and this time for breakfast!

Popped in here thinking it was a bakery, but ended up grabbing an available seat for brunch instead. Had a delicious Turkish poached egg and yogurt dish. Prices were fair and the coffee was very well prepared. Very busy on a Saturday morning, but the servers were efficient and kind and rotated people in and out quickly. Very much enjoyed my meal here.

I have discovered this place very recently. Definitely a hidden gem! Tried them baguette, soup, pancakes and sausage plate. All great. Baguette is genuinely good, no wonder they were voted as Best NYC baguette 2024. Pancakes are amazing, the sweetness is just right, well balanced. Sausage plate is also good, something that I would order again and again.
