Boss Bagel
6458 N New Braunfels Ave, San Antonio, TX
Crema's Take
“Boss Bagel brings genuine New York-style bagels to San Antonio, baking them fresh in a wood-fired oven right in front of you—a detail that shows up repeatedly in glowing reviews praising their chewy texture and quality ingredients. Beyond the bagels themselves, their specialty drinks like chai lattes keep regulars coming back, and the spot hits that sweet spot of being quick enough for a grab-and-go but welcoming enough for families to linger. While consistency can occasionally slip, when everything clicks, it delivers what fans describe as the best bagel experience in the city.”

First timers, great experience! Definitely coming back regularly when in the city. Fresh bagels, portioned well and plenty options to choose from. Chai latte was good. No real long wait
The bagel was okay price but the dough was very chewy. My jaw was a little worn out on half a sandwich because of the density. It’s okay I guess. I prefer the local supermarket bagel because it is easier to chew. Maybe I was craving a softer texture that day. Despite the large crowd and tons of customers, the service was fast. Prices were fair though slightly high.
It’s been a while since I’ve been to Boss Bagel, and this visit was disappointing. Two of the four bagels I ordered were noticeably off. Two had cream cheese spread only on one side, while another bagel in the same order looked great. There were barely any tomatoes or onions, either. Also, the bacon did not seem up to snuff either usually it’s crispy and it looks undercooked. For the price—and especially since I was the first person in line—there’s really no excuse for the quality to be this inconsistent. I hope this was a one-off, but it definitely wasn’t up to their usual standard. That said, the staff was super friendly and welcoming, which I really appreciated.
I’ve had Boss Bagels in the airport and visited their actual storefront today. Best bagels in the city hands down. The bagels are made fresh in store and baked in a wood fire oven in the front of the store where you can watch them being made. So many flavors and options to choose from!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Okay, wow… this might just be the BEST bagel experience I’ve had in San Antonio. I went with the cinnamon raisin bagel and their cinnamon honey spread—pure perfection. Sweet, chewy, warm… everything you want in a bagel bite. 🤤 And let’s talk about the iced lavender almond matcha. Omg. Pump that straight into my veins—it was dreamy, refreshing, and just the right amount of floral.🔥 The staff were super kind and welcoming, which made the whole vibe even better. And the best news? Boss Bagel is opening in Cibolo soon—literally minutes from me! You already know I’ll be a regular. 🙌🏼🙌🏼 If you’re a bagel lover (or even if you’re not), do yourself a favor and check this place out. ✨🥯💜
