Dash Coffee Bar
912 Union St, Pasadena, CA
Crema's Take
“Dash Coffee Bar takes their milk technique seriously—reviewers rave about impossibly silky microfoam that elevates even standard espresso drinks into something special, often adorned with charming latte art. Beyond the fundamentals, they're known for creative signatures like their cream brûlée iced coffee and vibrant ube latte, plus a surprisingly solid lineup of international pastries and savory bites (kimchi spam croissants, anyone?) that make it worth lingering beyond your usual grab-and-go.”

Sorry, I had to ruin your drawing, but I wanted to show you what perfectly frothed milk looks like. Delicious beans, perfectly frothed milk, which together produces a wonderful product. This shop doesn't operate to third-wave standards, but the barista know the basics and made the coffee according to my request, which I would have given an extra star for if it had been possible. A must-visit for all coffee connoisseurs.
Luv the matcha here and the cream brûlée iced coffee is a must try!! ☕️ Their baked goods are yummy as well ☺️ Great staff and they are quick. They have many delicious snacks from around the world too. Parking lot is a little small but you can park on both sides of the street (it's off a 1 way street)
Usually don’t drink coffee but found this spot. So let’s see if they’re pretty good eh or ew. They have this really pretty purple ube latte that I just had to try and it had a really strong coffee flavor, was perfectly sweet and milky. Wasn’t getting any ube flavors tho. I also got their pandan matcha latte which tasted super high quality, was also nice and milky and perfectly sweet. Wasn’t getting much pandan flavors but I didn’t mind since everything here does actually taste super clean and high quality. This place is pretty good. Pandan $8.95 Ube $6.75
Got the kimchi, spam, cheese croissant for $12 was a little disappointed by the proportion of both the main ingredients and the salad. The flavor was good, and the croissant is toasted! The waffle with fruit was pretty dry. The Thai tea einspanner was like any thai tea but a little too sweet in my preference, I don't think it's worth $7. The strawberry matcha they use ceremonial grade, and was good.
Double Shot Cappuccino and Hot Dirty Chai. Cappuccino was hot and frothy, rich and felt decidant. Extra seasonal touch: a jack-o-lantern was in the foam! Hot Dirty Chai was smooth, the foam was thick n rich. Vibe was upscale casual with lofi music and a chill atmosphere. Price was what you'd expect to pay at Sta**ucks but a lot better quality. About $20 for two specialty coffees and a fun international bag of sushi flavored chips, including tax and tip. Easy, approachable and mellow staff. Clean, with some indoor and outdoor seating and free wifi with passcode. Drinks are freshly made with care and craft, so take a few extra minutes and chillout. Overall, very impressed with the simple and skillful approach, drinkable coffee and lowkey atmosphere. Perfect.
