Crema's Take
“Flour & Branch is a thoughtfully designed neighborhood gem where the owner's passion shines through every detail, from the beautiful decor to exceptionally crafted pastries that locals rave about as some of the Bay Area's best. Their signature croissants and creative baked goods—like the standout pecan chocolate croissant with its perfect flaky-crispy exterior and buttery layers—make this cozy, aesthetic spot worth the splurge for quality ingredients and technique. It's the kind of intimate space that invites you to linger with friends over excellent coffee and conversation, where the care put into both the space and the food is genuinely felt.”

I came here for lunch with my friends. We are impressed by the decor. We can see how the owner put their heart into it. Then we got the food. I got the protein plate. The brisket is a bit too greasy but the eggs and salad are light and fresh. While we enjoy the conversation, the staff, who turned out to be the owner Lauren, noticed that the food came late. So she gave us complimentary cookies! It is not what I intended to order but they are uniquely delicious! We got a chance to talk with Lauren and she is a wonderful, passionate, and inspiring chef/ owner. I would love to come and try different types of cookies here!
CANT WAIT TO GIFT THIS!! This is my favorite bakery in the bay area. Their cookies are so unique and such a delicious experience. I get why they are so often praised as the #1 cookie in the bay area. Lauren is also such a sweet human. The type of place you want to keep going back to. With the type of food quality you can resort taste.
These pastries are amazing and delicious! I highly recommend trying them all – every single one is incredible. If you happen to have any questions or need advice at all while browsing, please don't hesitate to ask the staff. They are incredibly helpful and will be more than happy to assist you!
The pecan chocolate croissant was absolutely amazing! Super flaky and crispy on outside and soft inside. I found it a bit expensive but it’s high quality for sure. The pecan paste was delicious and chocolate not too sweet. The server was very kind and helpful. Will be back again to try the cookies and French toast. Also the space inside was gorgeous
Such a cute little spot! The cafe is small, cozy, and very aesthetic — perfect for a relaxing coffee break. The food was phenomenal. The croissant and danish were fresh, warm, buttery, and perfectly flaky. The hot cocoa was amazing too — not overly sweet, just the right balance with a hint of cinnamon that made it even better. Definitely a gem worth visiting in SF!
