Stopped in here for happy hour on a Saturday, sat at the bar. Really loved the vibe of the place, it made me forget that I was in Colorado, which I always think is a fun quality in a place to eat. The happy hour menu had a good mix of drinks on it. The bartender was attentive, though he did grab my espresso martini when there was still a few sips left and toss it which I thought was strange and a personal pet peeve of mine. I ordered a meatball slider off the happy hour menu for $2, and it was the tiniest thing I had ever seen. It also took at least 20 minutes to receive it. For $2, I wasn't expecting it to be big, but this was just laughable in size! The bread it was served on was hard and dry, I'm imagining something that small would be impossible not to overbake. That said, the meatball and sauce itself were tasty. I then tried one of their Napoletana wood fired pizzas (my favorite type of pizza). I wasn't very impressed with the dough, which was not airy in nature. I also felt the pizza lacked enough toppings. I had slices that had no cheese at all. The ingredients felt high quality, but for $20 I would have liked more of them. After two drinks, a meatball slider, and a pizza, I walked out paying $60 all in, which felt a bit steep for my experience. I will say the desserts in the bakery window looked fantastic and I may be back to try those, but probably wouldn't get another pizza here unfortunately.

Had a great dinner at Tony P’s. We stayed in lower downtown, but went to a candlelight concert at the Kirk of Highland last Friday evening. This place was just down the street. Was glad we had a reservation, the place was packed. It’s a great neighborhood vibe, a nice change from LODO. You could tell many who came in were regulars from their interactions with the owner/employees. A few other groups at the restaurant we later saw at the concert. I had the Italian margarita, which was good. We shared the meatballs appetizers and the lasagna, both very good. I had the small pear walnut salad which was amazing! We finished by sharing the cheesecake with fruit, which was also very good.

Cool spot with a chill vibe. We stopped in while waiting for a dinner reservation elsewhere and were very pleasantly surprised! They brought us this complimentary bread that was super awesome! Come visit, you’ll love the spot!
