G Cafe Bakery Branford

I recently went there for the first time and I will definitely be going back. I ordered the grilled Chicken Panini and a Gourmet Salad. Everything was fresh and so delicious. The staff and Management were welcoming and friendly. Very attentive and helpful with suggestions. Can’t wait to return with some friends and family.

G Cafe is a cute, small and cozy environment with delicious pastries and drinks! The servers are extremely welcoming and helpful, and I would happily give a five star rating if it weren’t for the current manager. He can be heard over almost every sound, it seems like he is always yelling at the employees and speaking disrespectfully towards them even when there are customers all around that can clearly hear him. Not only that, but I even witnessed an interaction with him and a customer where he was very disrespectful towards them for not saying “good morning”. Overall a great place, but a change in manager seems like what may be best for the overall environment and for the sake of the staff.

What a little gem! The staff are so friendly, and there’s a touch of je ne sais quoi—it honestly made me feel like I was in Paris. We had a delicious lunch: I got the avocado toast with salmon, and my boyfriend enjoyed the super salad. I was so excited for the apple-orange spa water—so refreshing! The place was busy, but the line moved fast thanks to the efficient staff. Meanwhile, you can admire all the amazing pastries and bread. Highly recommend their hot chocolate—the last time I had one this good was in Europe!”

I’m a returning customer at G Cafe in Branford, and I feel it’s important to share. As a Black woman and a Registered Nurse , about 3 months ago I stopped coming because I felt discriminated against and ignored. It was disappointing, and I quietly chose not to return. Recently, I needed pastries for a hospital meeting and decided to give G Cafe another chance — and I’m so glad I did. The bakery was spotless, beautifully organized, and inviting. The staff was warm, professional, and genuinely friendly. This time, I felt respected, welcomed, and comfortable — a complete turnaround that honestly reminded me of Europe. The fresh fruit-infused water was such a thoughtful touch. I was recommended the mushroom croissants — they were out of this world. I ended up buying them all! And now I’m officially addicted to the Swiss croissants. Growth and change matter. The quality, cleanliness, and friendliness here make all the difference. The only downside? The extra pounds I may gain because everything is just that good! Highly recommend — what a joy to experience such a positive shift.

Love the food here, the staff is so friendly, helpful and welcoming. They really know their regular customers which is appreciated. The vibe has slightly shifted over the past month, maybe a management change or something. The atmosphere feels off and not for the better. I’d say whoever was managing the staff previously obviously created a positive culture that resulted in a customer friendly experience.The employees seemed happier and more engaged. I hope it all starts to re align soon. It’s a great spot to have here in town.
