I always stop in this place anytime I'm in Hudson. I'm a foodie and love to cook. Such a variety of things. Always find something. The staff is very friendly.
Mega over priced and the focaccia is worse than grocery store bread BUT Mario is incredible and could sell me anything. If I come back it’ll be for him :)
I ordered a berry muffin and I had to throw it away. It tasted like ham and cheese. I thought it was just in my head but I had my friend try it and she agreed. :( and I got a tea latte that tasted only like milk. The place was cute and the staff were nice. Just didn’t like what I ordered.
Running a small business in Hudson isn’t easy, but the ownership at Olde Hudson has shown real dedication to keeping something special alive. Through thick and thin—even during COVID when many shops struggled to keep basic goods on the shelves—Olde Hudson continued to provide top-quality ingredients and specialty items that you simply can’t find elsewhere in town. Yes, the products are on the pricier side, but that reflects the commitment to stocking the very best. If you enjoy cooking with higher-end ingredients and want something beyond the standard grocery store offerings, this is the place. What stands out most is the vision and determination of the people behind the store. They’ve kept Olde Hudson thriving despite the challenges of doing business upstate, and that spirit deserves support. If we want Hudson to keep its unique flavor and quality, we need to keep Olde Hudson alive—it truly is a gem run with care and pride.
2 stars for pretty good tasting Americano despite having to go buy my own $11 heavy cream, in a bakery/coffee joint that thinks they’re all that. The guy at the store register was a piece of work because he kept talking to an employee instead of doing his actual job at the register so that every step of the sale I had to interrupt with step by step requests/demands to proceed with the sale process! I know hard to imagine. Back on the coffee side with cream in hand I received a half-filled 8oz paper cup and my scone in a bag. I asked for a plate and a bit more hot water in my coffee. Then a few minutes later I saw there are actual mugs but by then the barista was too distracted to ask so I just grabbed one myself. The staff is nice enough but out to lunch behaviorally speaking. And yes the entire place is off the charts overpriced even for seasoned travelers and the store goods aren’t even marked. Definitely a pretentious mediocre experience.
