Crema's Take

Boris & Horton is a warmly chaotic East Village sanctuary where Devocion espresso, pastries, and pup-friendly vibes converge in a thoughtfully designed space with separate human and dog entrances. Carol and her team elevate the experience beyond coffee—they'll bandage your cuts and remember your order—creating the kind of place where lingering over a slow-pulled shot feels like the entire point. For $5, you get access to a genuinely cozy community where dogs roam as freely as the conversation flows, and the food menu proves they take care of the whole experience, not just the cup.

What to expect

Espresso-focused. A slow-sit spot, good for meetings. Pastries and light food on the menu. Dog friendly.

Incredible coffee shop where the food is great and the company is even better! I brought my dog to the dog friendly area and it was just a $5 fee. Must have vaccines and it is such a cozy vibe to do work or hang out! Must come for all dog lovers!!!

Amazing coffee shop! Carol and team have the best customer service and coffee. They serve Devocion! They go the extra mile: I cut myself and needed a bandaid, and they found me one. Plus the dogs are super cute and brighten any day!

We finally checked out the reopening of Boris & Horton. There’s two separate rooms and entrances, one for humans and one for dogs. I liked how they have a controlled door where you can enter one at a time for the safety of dogs. When we entered, tbh, it was a bit chaotic. It was…
