Crema's Take

Tucked in the mountains above Kailua-Kona, this garden-set kitchen trades the beach crowds for a slower, more intentional pace—think lush surroundings and genuine hospitality that has regulars making same-day dinner reservations. The drinks shine here, from carefully balanced tropical cocktails like the Coco-Lilikoi Mojito to creative mimosa flights, paired with fresh, well-seasoned dishes that justify the drive uphill. It's the kind of place where the staff knows your name and the vibe feels like discovering a secret that locals have been keeping.

Random stop to grab lunch, and I was so glad we did. Food was amazing, customer service was great. And the place is beautifully decorated and absolutely stunning. Don’t miss out on this place!

Lovely ambience in a small town up on the mountain. Food was very disappointing especially for the price. Garlic bread was literally a single Hot dog bun cut in half and toast toasted with some butter($8), Onion rings were unevenly cooked and served with ketchup ($18). Catch of the day ahi (35) was OK but not teriyaki as advertised, Paying extra for the vegetable medley ended up being a few slices of sad carrot. My husband‘s burger was meh, could have been done by anybody’s backyard barbecue effort. On the plus side, the egg on his burger was cooked beautifully and the coleslaw was nice, On the downside, we have both been in the bathroom somewhat urgently since dinner. The wait staff was attentive and friendly, The gardens were beautiful, but the food was disappointing on the whole. This place had been recommended for our anniversary dinner a few nights earlier but in retrospect we’re glad we went to the Kona Inn that night. Better quality for less, including drinks.

We had a top notch lunch here. The Coco-Lilikoi Mojito was refreshing, not overly sweet, and tangy. Get it! We ordered the fresh catch sandwich and kale salad with ahi. The Ahi was perfectly seasoned and seared. Like butter every tasty bite. The avocado was firm and fresh. The salad was perfectly sweet and crunchy. Loved the decor and outdoor garden seating. We appreciated the prompt and friendly service. Check the hours before you go as they have somewhat varying hours for brunch, lunch and dinner each day of the week. We definitely recommend adding it to your places to eat while in Kona!

Christian helped us and was very friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming. We did the mimosa flight with four different juices. Great atmosphere, music and vibes. Definitely recommend! A must visit while visiting the Big Island.

A short drive from Kailua Kona for breakfast, but a much slower pace. Service, food, and atmosphere were so great we made reservations to go back the same evening for dinner. Updated to include photo of dinner cocktail. The Coco-Lilikoi Mojito was possibly the best cocktail I’ve had on the island so far!
