Old Ferry Donut

“Old” Ferry Donut really hits the nail on the head. Unfortunately, the donuts miss the mark in terms of taste and value for money. I have wanted to try Old Ferry Donut for a while, but since the limited hours don’t allow me to stop by before or after work on the weekday, it’s been challenging. The overall brand and aesthetic is very cute, and I appreciate how clean and bright the shop is. The donuts are displayed in a very appealing way, and they even sell merch as well. I was excited to try the Milk Cream Ball, as it seemed like a safe bet. However, the texture of the donut seemed old / stale, and the flavor had a chemical aftertaste. I am not saying the donuts are expired or a day old, but they certainly don’t taste fresh. It’s almost as if they taste pre-packaged and shipped from a central distribution center. We took a few bites before tossing it. Perhaps I could have tried other flavors to see if this was a one off miss, but I don’t really want to spend another $5-6 to find out. The iced matcha cream latte was much better! They have many alternative milk options, and I’d come back for this drink. I’m disappointed that the quality of the donut didn’t turn out well, because I think this shop would be a hit all things considered. Also, the owner’s responses to other reviews on the business seem very combative and defensive. “We’re sorry you picked a donut that you specifically didn’t care for, but we have 26 others and it’s your fault you didn’t pick one of those”. The attitude is off…

This was our first time here they had alot of different choices and they all looked good.We got one tiramisu, pistachio butter and two mango cream. Unfortunately I have to agree with some of the other customers the mango ones did seem a little stale maybe it's just how they are made and I'm not use to it the donut itself personally had a specific taste of yeast that the others didn't however the inside was really good the cream had a really nice flavor and wasnt too sweet I think it would go good on a cake . The pistachio butter was my favorite they are dense however good flavor the inside taste like cream cheese I don't like cream cheese 🥲 that's my fault for not asking what was the filling but it was still good . The tiramisu also had a cream cheese filling and it was alright I would personally not get those again however I wouldnt mind trying another without filling.Hoping for a better outcome 🐱 The service was good we went right at opening and it was empty and she attended us quickly she let us know the bestsellers and which ones had filling and which didn't .They also sell individually and in a dozen I believe if you get a dozen you get one free donut. The location was really nice they had some of their merch and a mirror you can take photos in.

We stopped by today late in the evening and were able to score still on some delicious donuts! The coffee was a nice balance to the sweetness of the donuts. The Boston cream is our new favorite. Shout out to the gentleman in the hat, he provided excellent service and made our whole experience enjoyable!

I love the friendly staff! it was our first time coming here. Me and my friend felt welcomed in with open warm arms! They even gave us a free donut to try, just had to drop a review! much love for this place that just opened 🩷🙌

These donuts are absolutely amazing! The moment I took my first bite, I knew this place was special. The donuts are incredibly soft, fresh, and full of flavor—honestly some of the best I’ve had. The shop is clean, welcoming, and has a really nice atmosphere. The staff were friendly and made the experience even better. I’ll definitely be coming back, and I highly recommend this place to anyone who loves great donuts!
