Crema's Take
“Ginger Sweets is where Bailey and her dedicated team transform weekend visits into mini-adventures, rotating themed menus (think Shrek and literary-inspired drinks) that keep regulars coming back to discover what's next. Beyond the rotating creativity, they're serious about their craft—handcrafted specialty drinks made with homemade syrups, buttery pastries, and a matcha that's genuinely smooth and well-balanced, all served by people who make you feel like an old friend the moment you walk in. It's the rare coffee shop where the hospitality, the pastries, and the carefully considered drinks all deserve equal attention.”

Ginger sweets is our favorite place for pastries, and their coffee is delicious too. Bailey & her team put their all into what they sell, and it really shows. Every single thing I’ve tried here has been amazing!! 100/10, highly recommend.
A friend of mine told me about Ginger Sweets a few months back, and urged me to go during their special SJM bookish themed weekend. They sometimes offer special menus that are based off of anything from movies, tv shows, book series, etc. You name it! And curate a limited time menu to fit the theme. How cool is that!?!) My only regret is I didn’t go sooner! It was absolutely worth the 1hr & 1/2 round trip. My friend who recommended us go unfortunately fell ill that weekend, so it was up to me to bring back some sweet treats. When I tell you I blacked out and bought almost one of everything, well, I blacked out and bought almost one of everything. Lol! …I may’ve had to make multiple trips to the car because I couldn’t carry it all at once. From the pastries, to baked goods, to amazing drinks they offered— Everything was delicious. And not to mention the thought and care that went into everything made for the weekend pop up menu. The Ginger Sweets team is truly incredible, and the customer service there is amazing. I’ll absolutely be making the trip again, and anytime I’m in the area, this will be a must visit. I can only hope they do another SJM book themed weekend in the future. Would recommend anyone and everyone to check out this amazing pastry cafe!
The owner and team are some of the best people I know. They are always so friendly and welcome you in like they’ve known you for years. This is my favorite coffee/pastry place to go to & I’m constantly telling friends and coworkers to come here. Also LOVE their signature salted chocolate chip cookie latte (created with housemade syrups and cookie milk) & the assortment of yummy pastries they have are 10/10 everytime! Especially when they have their themed drink/food weekends like Shrek, Twilight and so many more fun ideas🤍 You definitely won’t be disappointed coming to Ginger Sweets!
Stopped in during a Shrek-themed weekend, which was really fun. All the items were themed, and they apparently change themes every weekend (you can follow along on Instagram). The Love Potion was really good, and the macaron was enjoyable. The brownie was a standard thick brownie, but I wasn’t a fan of the orange icing. Overall a good stop, and I’d like to come back during the week to try their regular offerings.
TL,DR: Homemade sweet & savory treats, handcrafted drinks with homemade syrups, and a local, small business - it is kind of perfection! Even the sweet treats weren’t too sweet & the matcha as smooth as could be. Friendly staff and some non-food goodies that are curated for the cafe. This Vegas girl wishes there was another Ginger Sweets on her side of the country 13/10 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ————— PART 1of 2 Ginger Sweets is a gem! Tucked away in a strip mall, the quality of the pastries had no business being so good & one of the smoothest matchas I’ve ever had. I’m from Las Vegas, NV and I’ve been to my fair share of cafes - I love a place that isn’t just pretty, but offers realllly good options for a snack/sweet treat and drinks. Here is what we got because the pastry case was abundant and we were going to try everything that looked too good not try before flying home - tbh honest, we went a little crazy & it was worth it ✨😤 1. Iced Matcha Latte - 10/10 - smooth & creamy, knowing they make their own syrups made it extra luxurious. I only realized the heart straw as we are driving away, but such a cute touch! 2. Hot Chocolate - 8/10 -comforting as heck on a January morning 3. Cherry Almond Danish - 8/10 - I was not expecting a fresh cherry flavor. I’m used to the artificial cherry flavor/goop - which is still yum in its own way, but the fresh/real cherry flavor balanced out the sweeteners of the almond paste & I wasn’t overloaded with sugar. 4. Honey Vanilla Chai Oatmeal Creampie - 9/10 - the name of this thing alone was drool worthy. These cream pies were massive and full of flavor. I appreciated that the cookies were tender but had more texture than the store bought cream pies. 5. Ham & Cheese Danish - 10/10 - for something so simple, the savory hit so well. There is something to be said when you can taste the components of an item and they all taste good. We snagged the last of these in the case and we could have had more! 6. Breakfast Buns (w/ & w/o bacon) - 100/10!! - we got four of these things. A little bun essentially baked with an egg in it, cheese, and bacon if you chose. Whether it was with bacon or not, they were so good. Typically at a cafe, savory options are hard to come by…it’s even harder to come by savory options with a decent amount of protein, but these bad boys delivered. They were light, but hearty which we loved. This was one of the items I was incredibly sad to see finished - if I could have access to them all the way from Vegas, I’d get them! 7. Cardamom Cinnamon Roll - 100/10!! -first things first, unlike my husband - I am not a cinnamon roll kind of person. Don’t get me wrong, I love smelling the Cinnabon at the mall, but I’m not one to seek out a bun as a sweet treat. Since I knew these were handmade, we got one. This cinnamon roll surprised me because it was massive and had a thick layer of frosting on it, but when I tell you it wasn’t too sweet - it was perfect. I love cream cheese frosting, but often times it’s a sugar bomb, but tell me how or why we were able to enjoy the abundant amount of frosting without a toothache?!? The cinnamon roll itself was delicious and had a citrusy note that made it lighter than a typical roll. I would go back just for the frosting - point blank. 8. Vanilla Bean Macarons - 10/10! - I know the owner of Ginger Sweets through her macarons on social media and I was so grateful to try one of her treats (among so many others lol). The texture of these were so good and even with the vanilla buttercream filling - not too sweet and just a perfect bite.
