Plank Coffee - Cloverdale
227 N Cloverdale Blvd, Cloverdale, CA
Crema's Take
“Tucked away in Cloverdale, this cozy neighborhood spot has mastered the art of the perfect pastry—their almond croissants strike that elusive balance of buttery, flaky layers with genuine flavor that keeps locals coming back. Beyond the baked goods, they're doing thoughtful work with both espresso and pour overs, plus hearty breakfast options like delicate veggie frittatas and perfectly balanced chai lattes that prove they care about every drink on the menu. With generous seating, a genuinely friendly staff, and a relaxed vibe that welcomes both solo laptop workers and groups of friends, it's become exactly the kind of place people look forward to stopping by.”

I had a mocha and some house made baked goods. The almond croissant was excellent. Almond croissants are often dry elsewhere or over stuffed. These were well balanced with great flavor and texture. The cookies are decadent and lovely. The star attraction is the coffee. I have a love/hate relationship with mochas. SO often they are no more than a cheap hot chocolate with some coffee that you cant taste. The cocoa flavor in the mocha here is definitely present but so is the coffee. Out of the bazillion coffee places in Mendocino, only a few actually pull this off. I recommend Plank highly and will definitely be back.
Great value, food was good even though it was vegetarian.
Cute and tasty coffee shop. The frittata was very good, light and full of veggies. The chai latte was perfect, not too sweet and very flavorful. Great stop off the 101
Super cozy coffee shop. Lots of seating and bench seating with locals congregating. Friendly staff. Variety of pastries including several gluten free options. Good coffee.
I stop whenever I drive by. Plank Coffee is fantastic. This time it was crowded but not that noisy. Service was great and very patient. I only bought one sweet bread and one cookie because I am going back tomorrow morning for breakfast and more bread for my trip home. I'm drinking a Cordata and it's delicious. Definitely a community coffee house. My kind of place !!!!!!
