We tried the Eggs Benedict and the patty melt. The patty melt was solid, and the fries were great. The Eggs Benedict, though, was a little too creamy for my taste, and I wish there were something in the dish to help it stand out more. I’ll definitely be back, but I’ll try something different next time.
Ordered the meat n eggs which comes with pancakes. The poached eggs are different from what you would get from an egg Benedict, it’s more like soft boiled eggs and there are water left behind after I finish eating them. The ham steak was huge but very salty and the hash browns are just so so. The pancakes tasted good but it came out not hot n fresh, the butter doesn’t melt on them. The coffee was very good though. The service was standard and they expect 18%tips. This meal cost $30 and I would not be going back.
I recently had breakfast at Yolk in the South Loop and tried the scrambled egg combo, which came with hash browns and pancakes. The portion size was generous, and everything tasted great. The ambience was warm and inviting, making it a perfect spot to start the day. The service was quick, and the staff were friendly enough to recommend some must-try items from the menu. Yolk definitely has some amazing options that are worth exploring.
I went here with my boyfriend and we LOVED it!! Our waitress was the absolute sweetest, I’d come back just for her vibe (wish I remembered her name I'm sorry). The food was awesome, and the portions were totally worth the price. I got the seasonal Apple Oat French Toast and OMG… the warm apples and thick toast were pure heaven on a plate. I couldn’t even finish it, but I wanted to! Overall, 10/10—we’ll definitely be back
We had an incredible brunch experience at Yolk today. Isa took such great care of us, warm, attentive, and genuinely kind from start to finish. Every dish was a hit. The banana bread French toast was rich, perfectly caramelized, and balanced with just enough sweetness. The salmon Benedict had beautifully poached eggs and silky hollandaise that tied it all together. The tres leches pancake was pure indulgence, fluffy, creamy, and just decadent enough to share (though you might not want to). Everything came out hot, plated beautifully, and full of flavor. Yolk nails that rare mix of comfort and creativity, elevated brunch food without the pretense. Isa and the team made it feel effortless. Highly recommend this spot for anyone who takes breakfast seriously.
