Black Bear Coffee Co
318 N Main St, Fletcher, NC
Crema's Take
“Black Bear Coffee Co. is a genuine specialty haven where carefully sourced, well-roasted beans shine through in every cup with no bitter aftertaste—whether you're ordering a classic espresso or one of their inventive specialty drinks that locals rave about with almost religious fervor. The welcoming baristas clearly know their regulars by name, the pastries (especially the peanut butter chocolate bars) are legitimately worth a visit on their own, and the spacious, laptop-friendly environment makes it feel like a real community gathering spot rather than just another coffee shop. With extended hours and a track record that's earned them 4.6 stars across over 1,000 reviews, this is the kind of place that justifies making a detour through Fletcher.”

They use a real well roasted coffee bean to start any coffee order. No bitterness or gross undertones. Every type off coffee we have ordered is worthy of a follow up visit. Baristas have always been polite, patient, and helpful when we had questions or special requests. Large dining area and very clean bathrooms.
Just a quick note , this is the best coffee in Hendersonville , I had a chai latte and my wife had the hot chocolate. Damn , I wish I had gotten the hot chocolate lol, my latte was very good though but that hot chocolate stole the show Wonderful and upbeat staff and a pleasant atmosphere and great prices too
A must stop in Hendersonville, they are open more so than other places, their Drinks are Jedi level and amazing pastries and cookies to complement the hot drinks.
I have been to Black Bear three times over my recent visit to Hendersonville. Each visit has been very pleasant. Clearly the staff have a connection with locals which I appreciat. I had single origin Counter Culture from nicaragua--a solid coffee in the light range. While it was piping hot at 7, it had lost some of its warmth when I came in at 8:30. The dark chocolate/raspberry scone was excellent with both flavors spread generously through the scone. The scone had a crisp texture which I prefer to the softer, doughier forms. My wife enjoyed a pumpkin muffin from the texture standpoint but could have used a tad more cinnamon. I had a chocolate croissant the previous day and the chocolate to croissant ratio was much more than i had typically found at many other coffee shops.
Stopped by Black Bear Coffee Co on a recent trip to Hendersonville, amazing coffee and pastries! Highly recommend the peanut butter chocolate bar and the coffee is phenomenal. The staff were all super friendly and personable, even though they were so busy my first trip there. It was so good I had to come back before we left for more coffee and snacks for the road 😂
