Crema's Take
“Bear Donut is a vibrant Midtown gem that feels like a creative playground where coffee and pastries are celebrated with genuine artistry—their ube matcha latte and Dubai chocolate cookies have inspired serious devotion among regulars, while their rotating ice cream flavors keep people coming back for surprises. Hands down my favorite donut shop. The varieties and flavors just hit. It's enough selection without having too many choices. Delicious, sweet, savory, filling and just a circle of perfection. The staff is always friendly and patient. Definitely add this quick stop to your list and you'll be glad you did!
loved this place, the workers are so welcoming and sweet and they have such a huge variety of food and drinks and sweets!!! my favorite was the popular dubai chocolate cookies. i tried their new strawberry one and the original and they were SOOOO good. so yummy and these are definitely for the people with sweet tooths. no shade but compared to the one i went to in flushing, this one tops them 100%!!! i recommend coming here guys 😊😊😊
My new favorite quick dessert & coffee spot in Midtown (and arguably Manhattan). The ube matcha latte is to die for. The perfect rich, earthy, sweet drink when you need a pick me up. I have hardly seen this combo anywhere else and it leaves you wanting more. I cannot recommend this hidden gem of a drink enough. My sister also had the iced cookie butter latte which I was told is very tasty. As for the donuts, they exceed expectations. No pictures can truly do them justice. My favorite was the passion fruit mochi doughnut which was sweet, chewy, soft, & had the right amount of tropical tang. The crème brûlée donut was a close second. I’ll certainly be back!
The ice cream flavors are out of this world. Banana pudding pumpkin spice ?! I came for the donuts tho. I tried to the cookies & cream. Pretty standard cookie and cream flavor. The donut was soft and melted in my mouth. It was tasty. The real winner was the strawberry milk. I’m not usually a fan of cream filled donuts but this was a hit. The cream tasted just like strawberry milk. It was delicious. The dough was soft and chewy. It had a bit of saltiness to it. I enjoyed this experience !
Bear Donut is seriously one of the cutest spots in NYC. The vibes are immaculate, the branding is on point, and the lavender cold cream cold brew hit the spot. My boyfriend’s caramel mocha was supposed to be dairy-free but came with dairy anyway, so that was a little yikes. Staff seemed a bit unsure about the drinks, but I’m still a fan of the concept and flavors. The donuts looked amazing and the shop is aesthetic overload in the best way. I’ll probably come back and give it another shot—just hoping for better communication next time.
