Crema's Take

Erratic Ale Co in Dexter is a brilliantly social brewery where you can linger with friends and family in a bright, welcoming space while exploring an impressively adventurous beer lineup—think decadent offerings like their Chocolate Raspberry Stout alongside approachable classics like their amber and dark lagers. What really sets it apart is how seamlessly it integrates with its community; locals regularly grab a flight here while enjoying lunch from the neighboring Ratterman Breadhaus, and the genuinely friendly staff make everyone feel at home whether you're stopping by for a quick pick-up or settling in for an afternoon. The whole vibe strikes that rare balance of being both a serious brewery destination and a genuinely family-friendly gathering spot.

Stopped by w/ the family on a picture perfect fall afternoon. What an incredible place. Great space, super friendly customer service and most importantly, great beer. I had the amber ale and I can't remember ever having a better one. My wife had a sour which was delicous. Kids had Italian sodas which they loved. Wonderful place to enjoy time w/ family and friends.

Awesome! Friendly staff, awesome beer selection cool atmosphere! Super bonus that I was able to stop in for a beer while waiting for my vegan sandwich from Ratermans Breadhaus!

I dropped by Erratic just to pick up some beer to go, but it seemed like a nice place. The space was open and fairly bright, and the staff seemed nice. I brought home some of their dark lager, Günter, which was very nice and malty. I’d definitely like to stop by someday and spend more time.

We visited over lunch on a Saturday. We bought lunch from Ratterman Bread Haus and brought it over to the brewery. We had a flight and really liked the Chocolate Raspberry Stout. They had sodas and lemonade for non drinkers. The room was busy but there was still a table immediately available. They also sell coffee and hot cocoa. Free Wi-Fi and ample parking, right next to the Border to Border trail.

The client for today's photo shoot recommended that I stop in here. Erratic is kind of appropriate for this brewery. The selection of beers range from decadent to delicious. The headbrewer drew four delicious choice of beers for a flight for me: Shadows, Patches, Gunter, & Brothers Magnus. The name for each beer is creative and whimsical with a couple of obscure movie references you will appreciate.
