Crema's Take
“This cozy Brooklyn corner spot excels at the unhurried cafe experience, where you can linger over excellent coffee and house-made pastries like their standout mozzarella croissants and cronuts without feeling rushed. The menu extends beyond typical cafe fare with solid light meals and full breakfasts at reasonable prices, making it equally beloved by solo coffee drinkers, families, and groups celebrating special occasions. Come mid-morning if you can—the crowds are real—but the warm, welcoming atmosphere makes the wait worth it.”

The avocado toast was excellent! The place was super full when we went there it was a Tuesday at 11 🥐so try to pick a good time to go🤷♂️. Great coffee and mozzarella croissant! Their menu looked great😋can’t wait to try the rest.
Celebrated our grandson’s Bar Mitzvah here. Food was plentiful, excellent and reasonably priced. We’ve also dined there, breakfast and dinner, also good quality at very reasonable price.
Our visit to Brooklyn Bakehouse was nothing short of delightful! Nestled in a cozy corner, the ambiance exuded a welcoming charm that instantly put us at ease. The menu offered a wonderful variety, catering to every palate. We started with the Tuna Tartar, a refreshing blend of flavors that set the tone perfectly. The Pesto Bread was a standout, with its aromatic herbs and perfect crust. For our little one, the Mac and Cheese was a hit, creamy and comforting. Moving on to mains, the Cheese Nachos were generously topped and paired wonderfully with a fresh Salad, offering a balance of indulgence and greens. The Egg Croissant Sandwich was a highlight, boasting fluffy eggs and a buttery croissant that melted in the mouth. Sides like the Eggs Potato Salad were flavorful and paired excellently with our choices. To wash it all down, the Green Peach Iced Tea was a revelation – cool, fruity, and just the right amount of sweetness. Throughout our meal, the service was impeccable, with staff attentive to our needs and knowledgeable about the menu. The ambiance was cozy yet vibrant, making it an ideal spot for both a relaxed meal or catching up with friends. Overall, Brooklyn Bakehouse exceeded our expectations with its delicious offerings and inviting atmosphere. It's a gem worth visiting again and again.
Recommended! Visiting from Scottsdale, Arizona. As a Ba’al Teshuva with limited kosher options in AZ, this bakery/restaurant was conveniently located in walking distance from the airbnb so I decided to explore my options while looking for a brunch place. I ordered an iced mocha. It was excellent! Not too sweet and not too bitter. I also ordered the Tuna Steak which comes with a bed of jasmine rice, a GENEROUS portion of avocado (perfectly salted and seasoned) with an average size portion of seared tuna (warmed). I’m the daughter of a chef, so without shame…I identify as an extremely kind, yet spoiled borderline snobby chef’s daughter. I would definitely like to come back to New York to try other items on their menu. The staff and service is friendly, the location has a nice rustic and CLEAN atmosphere. (I did not use the restroom so I cannot comment on the condition or cleanliness of the bathrooms). It’s summer so I do recommend sitting on the inner tables since the window area gets really hot. I did overhear a customer ask to put the a/c on and the staff was very friendly and turned the air to be cooler without hesitation. A recommendation for the owner would be to set up shades for hot summers or tint the windows to block sun/UV rays for a more comfortable experience. I personally prefer to sit near the window, but opted to sit away from the sun since I’m an out of towner visiting from 115 degree climate. Also, their restaurant area front door is sticky so the clients can’t enter easily. Might want to get the door adjusted since a few customers did walk away and I opted to push the door hard to let them in. The door is not a reason to lower the experience in my opinion. Come! Eat! Enjoy! And upload photos of food! This business deserves it!
I liked the cronuts on Hanukkah. We also got the pesto sandwich which was okay. The salmon burger on the brioche bun was way too big and not able to eat with hands. Would recommend on sourdough as it seems like it would be more durable to hold the contents instead of going with a brioche if you choose this item.
