Crema's Take

Java Crew Corvallis wins hearts with its espresso-forward drinks and reliable pastries, particularly their chocolate hazelnut scones and breakfast sandwiches, making it a solid campus favorite despite mixed feelings about their drip coffee. While service can be inconsistent—friendly bursts punctuated by moments of indifference—the cozy atmosphere and skilled coffee drinks keep regulars coming back, especially those who appreciate the cafe's strength in crafted beverages over traditional brews. If you're after a thoughtful espresso drink paired with a quality breakfast sandwich in a cute, welcoming space, this is your spot.

Cold brew is horrible, and staff are not very friendly. The cold brew tastes like the leftover drip from the day before that was stored in the fridge. A bad taste and isn’t even strongly caffeinated. Will never buy again.

The coffee is great (only place I will go to on/near campus) and the food is good, though I have not had a lot of it. The downside is always the service, sometimes when you walk in you feel like you are "interrupting" their gossip or side-work. Service tends to be very dry with certain baristas, and I have been let down without the option to ask questions due to their lack of interaction and walking away (even when not busy). They do not often ask follow ups, and unless you pay with card (they want the digital tip) they walk away before I can insert my phone number for their rewards program (which is pretty good, I want the points!). I have been here enough recognize certain staff whom are amazing, and others who need improvement. I think they need to discuss customer service "helpfulness", they are never blatantly rude however the bland service does not align with the upbeat atmosphere.

I love java crew! I have always gone to the salem location and was happy to see there is one close to my work. Coffee, muffins, and breakfast sandwiches are all good. I just wish they opened before 7.

Not recommended for drip coffee. Chocolate hazelnut scone was solid. Staff were pleasant on a busy graduation morning. This place caters to folks looking for coffee drinks - frozen, mix ins, etc.
