Bakery By The Lake At Parkside

Every drink I've gotten here for the last 4 years has been consistently excellent. Not only do they know how to make good americanos, the management knows how to train the Baristas to be consistent every single time.

A female cashier offered me a rewards card (two free espresso drinks per 22 espresso drinks purchased) on a day this week because she said I come here everyday. The bald guy with a beard who is a manager there overheard this, remembered this, and the next day brought this up and asked the cashier woman if I should have backstock on the card. She said yes, so I got credit for four previous coffees. There's a young man who personally brings my coffee to me instead of leaving it on the counter. There is a nice group of people who come here. An old man reads the paper at the at the booth table closest to the front door and leaves his paper for people to read. The couch space has a nice coffee table. An old man plays an accoustic guitar and sings songs in the corner of the interior behind one of the couches. Gentle music and music by the Beatles band. There is a piano, a fireplace, and a chess board. They have plenty of bread and other food products to buy.

The sourdough bread is absolutely amazing. I ordered an iced coffee and something wasn't right. It tasted moldy. Everyone else in my group enjoyed their beverages though. I would come here again for sure.

This bakery is a winner every time! Their breads are delicious, baked goods have all been amazing. Special mention: snicker doodle cookies, extra sour sourdough & sticky buns. They make a really fantastic wet cappuccino with abundant strong foam. Arrive early, they've definitely been discovered since we first came here 6 years ago. Grab a bar seat at the windows to watch the park activity.

Great place and location. Beautiful big windows to see the outdoors. Have some comfy couches to sit and enjoy your coffee ☕️ We ordered a coffee, hot chocolate and some pastries. We were not disappointed. They were all super delicious and tasty!
