“This Rogers Park spot treats every item on the menu—from hand-rolled pastries to gumbo that clearly gets the technique right—like it matters, which makes it feel less like a coffee shop and more like a neighborhood institution that happens to serve excellent specialty drinks. The vibe is intentionally slow and social, the kind of place where you'll see regulars camping out for hours, and the rotating specials keep people coming back constantly. If you're after a quick caffeine hit, look elsewhere, but if you want to sit with a really good pastry and a well-made drink and feel like you're part of something, this is your spot.”
