Budgie’s Bakeshop

We stopped at this bakery on the Sunday after Valentine’s Day, and I can confidently say it was one of the best small-bakery experiences in my life! This coffee is great, the Sunday doughnuts are absolutely incredible, and the owner is extremely nice. I cannot recommend this place enough for anyone near the area!!!

I kept seeing references to this place, so I decided to grab some donuts. Stopped in one Sunday morning and they had lemon, cinammon, and a chocolate glazed donut. Ordered 2 lemon and 1 each of the others. They were still hot and smelled so good. Got home, brewed some coffee and finished 2 off. These are pretty tasty - not too sweet. The folks are nice and the spot itself is pretty cool.

Budgie’s is the kind of hometown place you can’t help but root for. Their Sunday donuts are hands-down some of the best around…soft, fresh, and made with care you can taste. I’ve also tried a few of her lemon recipes, and every one hits that perfect balance of sweet and bright. Coffee’s always on point, and the vibe inside is relaxed and genuine, just good folks doing great work. If you’re near Candler, do yourself a favor and stop in early on a Sunday before the donuts sell out. Favorites: Sunday donuts, lemon treats, and a solid cup of coffee. Atmosphere: Warm, local, and low-key in the best way. Small-town baking, big-time flavor

Omg I love Budgie’s so much!!! The cinnamon sugar donuts I swear are so magical and they are great for all seasons and every occasion! The quiches are amazing and paired with an amazing latte is to die for! The space is sooo cute and I love the warmest welcome I get when I come in to make my goody purchases! The atmosphere is sooo cute and I love hosting hangouts there! I love th accepting and welcoming attitude towards anyone that walks through that door! 💕

I’m enjoying THE BEST doughnut I have ever eaten!! It’s lemony and crunchy-chewy delicious! It’s not super sweet, but so very flavorful. The apple fritter is just as good with big chunks of apple. Perfectly fried. Extraordinary! And I just had to try their coffee latte with house made lavender syrup! And it, too is SO GOOD!! I’ve purchased their sourdough bread many times. I really love it!
