The Inkwell Coffee House
24 Beacon St, Exeter, NH
Crema's Take
“This cozy Exeter gem has earned serious devotion for its genuinely excellent espresso-focused coffee and surprisingly affordable menu that includes standout items like their signature smoked salmon bagel. Beyond the consistently great drinks and thoughtful food options (including gluten-free choices), what really sets the Inkwell apart is its distinctly calm, unrushed atmosphere—the kind of place where regulars linger for hours and employees like Kori and Ashlee actually go the extra mile, whether you need a quick caffeine fix or a peaceful spot to work. It's the rare coffee shop that nails both the craft and the soul.”

I recently ordered lunch from the Inkwell for an officewide meeting. While picking up the order, I lost my wedding rings in the parking lot. Employees Kori & Ashlee sprung into action and provided hands on help during a 2 day search effort. While the coffee and food offered by the Inkwell is amazing each and every time, the staff is the real reason I will forever be a loyal customer. The kindness and sense of community they offered me, a complete stranger, was an experience I truly will never forget. You will find me praising the Inkwell and recommending them to anyone who will listen until the end of time. This is exactly the reason I choose to support locally owned businesses.
Really nice vibes. Not something I expected to find in Littleton. The food and drinks were fine overall, but super affordable. A nice place to pause and unwind if you’re passing through. I grabbed a maple bread and a ham & cheese sandwich. The maple bread was dense yet soft, almost like a pound cake with a maple-infused frosting. The sandwich, on the other hand, was just cold ham and cheese on warm sourdough (with some mustard). Nothing wrong with it, but it would’ve been much better if the cheese had been melted.
Definitely the best coffee shop in Littleton! My all-time favorite spot. They’re the only ones who make a bagel with salmon and cream cheese — it’s amazing. The place has such a calm, cozy vibe, and their breakfast and coffee are always delicious.
Great place to work remotely and enjoy delicious food and coffee as well. Their menu offers both sourdough (gluten-intolerant-friendly) and a gluten-free bread. I did not feel restricted at all in my choices. I sat here from 8:am until 3:30pm working so I had breakfast and lunch! The cheese pull on the hot Italian sandwich was legit!
Walked here from our Airbnb and found the atmosphere to be one of the best we have experienced. Latte was also one of the best we have had on the east coast. We asked for dine in and got paper cups. Disappointed we didn’t get real coffee cups. Almost took a star off for the avocado toast, something I get everywhere we travel. I prefer freshly sliced avocado on bakery bread not guacamole smeared on store bought bread. In case you are wondering, the best avocado toast I’ve had was in Charleston, South Carolina.
