This morning we stopped at DJ's Market Cafe in NLR for breakfast. The food and price did not disappoint. It's been a little while since we've had a chance to go and glad we were able to make it this morning. $23 and some change total.

Always love the food, best bacon, egg and cheese toaster anywhere. Ask for extra bacon to offset thickness of toast. Small price to pay for extra bacon which was perfectly cooked. My only complaint is their coffee as it is way, too, weak. I had a take out order and when I opened my coffee to add cream and sugar I could already tell by it's paleness it would be flavorless. Once I added sugar it tasted like sweet, hot water. I looked around and notice a large portion of people, eating breakfast and drinking soft drinks with their meal which seemed odd to me. In my humble opinion cafés that serve breakfast should serve good, strong coffee like back in the day when people weren't always trying to cut costs. Please make better coffee so I can eat breakfast there again, I work close by and would eat there more often if you did.

Enjoyed a lunch with our son and my dad. Good country cooking and friendly service.

Love BJs and have been to several in different states. We ate here with our family last night while we were in town and the food was subpar. The service was great, but my salmon was SO dry. My FIL also got salmon and he said the same. We also tried the monkey bread and man, that was disappointing. We got it to go, so we didn’t know until we got home. It was rock hard and burnt. It felt as if it has been reheated several times.

The food was good. It's hard to mess up fried baloney and catfish. The service was on point. The young lady who served us was fantastic! The atmosphere leaves something to be desired. The sign upon entering said seat yourself. I found a young man to clean a booth. It was 12 noon. I'm assuming it was their busiest time of day. The building is the typical older building with concrete floors. It's not my favorite environment. All in all it was just OK. Nothing to write home about. The highlight of my visit was the same young man who cleared my booth made it a point to open the door for me as he noticed that I was trying to negotiate the restaurant on my mobility scooter.
