Crema's Take

Comma Coffee is a creatively decorated Carson City gem where artsy, eclectic charm meets genuinely quality coffee and food that outshines the chains—try their imaginative signature drinks like the Pistachio Latte when you need a break from the ordinary. The outdoor window ordering and spacious seating make it perfect for lingering over breakfast or settling in with your laptop, though some visitors have noted service can be inconsistent during busy times.

Waitress was too busy on her cell phone with her coworker Never came back for order or password to use wifi. Worst service ever You don't go to work to play on your cell phones You are there to work No idea how food was Relaxed atmosphere No one wants one you when you look at menu Have to tell them then or no service. 30 mins and no service is ridiculous

Comma Coffee in Carson City is an absolute gem. The moment you walk in, the eclectic, artsy décor gives the place real character — warm, creative, and instantly inviting. It feels like a space made for people who actually enjoy being there. I ordered June’s Benediction — an open-faced English muffin with pesto, spinach, onion, cilantro, avocado, and two sunny-side-up eggs — and added ham. It was hands-down one of the best breakfasts I’ve had in a long time. Every bite was balanced, fresh, rich, and perfectly executed. The flavors worked together beautifully instead of competing, which is rare. The service was just as impressive — friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming without feeling forced. Comma Coffee isn’t just a coffee stop — it’s an experience. If you’re in Carson City and skip this place, you’re doing yourself a disservice. Five stars without hesitation.

After finishing the Kit Carson Trail and exploring the many historic homes and landmarks, we happened upon this charming coffee shop and restaurant. The ambience is unique and fun—definitely not your typical coffee stop. The staff was friendly and welcoming, which added to the overall pleasant experience. We arrived close to closing time, so some of the food had been sitting out for a bit, but even so, it was still quite good. We’d like to come back earlier in the day to try everything at its freshest. Overall, a nice surprise and a spot we’d happily return to.

This is such a great coffee shop- the decor was fantastic and the food & coffee even better. This small business has much better quality food and coffee than any of the chains nearby. I'll be back anytime I'm in the area

Needed coffee & wanted to support a local shop! Comma Coffee had a cool outside window that you could order from. I had their special coffee of the day- Pistachio Latte ☕️ It was awesome, not too sweet! My husband had a regular coffee & thought it was brewed well! We Loved that there was outside seating too- lots of people out with their dogs strolling the main drag! People working were really friendly too💖
