Dun-Well Doughnuts
222 Montrose Ave, Brooklyn, NY
Crema's Take
“This vegan doughnut destination in Brooklyn has cultivated a devoted following with pillowy-soft, genuinely crave-worthy pastries that rival traditional bakeries—think French toast and lemon-filled varieties that have customers comparing them to the best donuts they've had across the country. The space invites you to linger with a carefully crafted coffee, though the real magic happens when you bite into their gourmet creations that manage to be indulgent and plant-based at once. It's the kind of neighborhood gem where people drive 30-45 minutes out of their way and immediately regret not discovering it sooner.”

Best vegan doughnuts in Brooklyn! Super fluffy and delicious. A variety of choices and flavors to choose from.
Everything here is done in excellence. My friend Vaughn B states “ These donuts were crafted by God and now I know what heaven tastes like”. We both agreed these are vegan gourmet donuts. They are so soft and fresh. Service was exceptional and personable. Definitely coming back.
I could probably fill an album for all the vegan doughnuts pictures I have lol. I can’t believe how I haven’t come to here sooner since I'm only 30-45 min away, but we were there on a Saturday basically when they opened for the day and the doughnuts were so so fresh 👌🏾 and they were soft and even had a slight crunch on the outside. I got the Triple Chocolate and the Boston Creme, and my wife got the Almondine and the Banana Pudding Maple Pecan. I also got a regular drip coffee with soy creamer! My wife got a latte that was super creamy. Thanks Dunwell Doughnuts for the wonderful service and amazing doughnuts!
I truly love the donuts here — they’re incredible! Soft, fresh, and the fact that they’re vegan makes them even better. But I have to say, the owner’s husband completely ruins the vibe. His energy is nasty, racist, and just plain ugly. When he came out, the whole atmosphere shifted — even the owner seemed uncomfortable, and that said a lot. To make things worse, he ignored me and gave another customer their order before mine. It felt intentional and disrespectful. He’s honestly dragging her business down. She seems like such a sweet person, but he’s the reason I wouldn’t rush back. Sir, please stay in the back where you belong until you learn how to treat people with kindness and basic respect. The donuts? AMAZING. The husband? Absolutely not.
Had the french toast donut and a lemon filled. Both incredible. Never had vegan donuts so perfect. I've had many donuts around the country and these are some of the best I've ever had! The staff was super friendly and even helped me with directions after my phone died. And the prices I found super reasonable.
