Crema's Take

Hunter Bay Coffee Roasters is a small, espresso-focused roastery in Lolo where the baristas are genuinely personable (maybe a bit too chatty for the rush crowd), and the counter culture feels more like dropping into friends' living room than a typical coffee shop. The pour overs and espresso drinks are their lane, paired with solid breakfast items like avocado toast and burritos, though the tight space and echoey acoustics mean it's better suited for lingering conversation than quiet contemplation.

The baristas doddle and talk too much while people are on deck. I now know one of your girls "wants attention, but does not want a relationship" and they cant make a coffee how its ordered because relaying this info to a coworker was more pressing than providing good service. *Not my first visit with like experience, this Hunter Bay is consistent in mediocrity.

Permanent window sign is poorly written however -- how it is structured implies breakfast is served all day, but that's only sundays. That lack of attention to detail on the sign is emblematic of the general vibe. A glossy sheen where the substance isn't quite right. Okay food, used to be better. Not really worth the price anymore. Only the breakfast burrito is worth getting, and only because they've cornered the market on breakfast burritos on this side of town.

Avocado toast had perfect ratio of brown stuff to green stuff. Burrito had really good innards. Coffee was okay, not great. Small space with echoey acoustics, not ideal for peace and quiet. I'd go back for sure.

Cute place. Reasonably priced food and drinks. Limited selection, food wasn’t rave worthy. Not handicapped accessible

We heard good things and was recommended this place after we came into town for the weekend, we saw someone drinking a drink and we wanted that. We went in and asked for a chunky monkey with espresso, we wanted a frozen mocha vibe. It was not what we saw previously, different consistency, color and it tasted like watery bananas. We ended up just tossing all 3 drinks costed about $21. However the employees were nice.
