Crema's Take

This Oxford cafe strikes that perfect balance between a casual weekday breakfast spot and a reliable dinner destination where friends actually want to meet, with a menu that goes beyond typical coffee shop fare into hearty comfort food like standout pork chop sandwiches and full breakfast spreads. While their consistency can be a bit uneven on the kitchen side, regulars and travelers alike keep coming back for the genuinely warm service and the kind of food that makes a pit stop feel like a real meal worth remembering. It's the type of place that feels like a genuine community gathering point rather than just another chain, tucked conveniently near the highway but worth seeking out on purpose.

We stopped here on the way to our campground. We ordered to go. We had a pork tenderloin sandwich and seasoned fries. Both were very good! We'll be going back before heading home!

As locals we come here very frequently but this evening was the worst we’ve ever received. We sat for over 30 mins waiting on grilled pork chops and grilled fish to be told the grill was cooking slow then the server came back to let us know that the grill had completely stopped working and they had to change grills. The server was very attentive to us and kept giving us updates on our food and she was very apologetic that things wasn’t going right in the kitchen. Once we got our food it unfortunately was not what we expected, there was no flavor and it just tasted off. Hopefully they can get things under control.

We were here for breakfast. Short drive off of 55. I had the pork chop and it was the best I have ever eaten!

I really enjoy finding places off the beaten path that had delicious food but one thing that you have to have is consistency or you'll never have a "regulars" that patronize your establishment. This place is hit and miss and depending on who's in the kitchen your food can come out completely different than the time that you had it before. I usually enjoy the jumbo burgers and onion rings but the burgers have been burnt lately and the onion rings don't have the same breading as they used to so they're not as good (but the tots are pretty good). Chicken tenders were decent and fried green tomatoes were pretty good on the previous visit. A couple days ago I ordered the taco salad last time but it was completely flavorless and the chips were soggy because it was a go order but they still put it all together like you're going to eat it right there and unfortunately the catfish meal was greasy and bland and ended up going to the dog. 😬 The ladies that work here are very nice and I would enjoy coming here more often if the food was cooked with a little more care and there was a standard of consistency for the restaurant. It's too high priced not to receive what you grow to expect from a prior visit. We wanted a catfish dinner and taco salad and spent $30 which is quite a bit to spend on food that ended up going to the dog. 🤦🏼‍♀️
