Pump House at Mind Blown Studio
73 Sherman St, Deadwood, SD
Crema's Take
“Housed in a converted gas station that doubles as a glass-blowing studio, this spot serves genuinely excellent cold brew and thoughtfully customizable espresso drinks that earn consistent praise from regulars. The atmosphere is genuinely distinctive—you're sipping coffee surrounded by working artists and blown glass pieces—making it feel less like a typical coffee shop and more like a creative community hub. Fair warning: food quality varies and prices can feel steep, but when it lands right, the whole experience (coffee, sandwich, charm, and all) is hard to beat.”
What to expect
Cold brew standout, with creative signature drinks. A slow-sit spot, good for meetings. Light food on the menu. Family friendly.

This little coffee shop (and shared glass blowing shop) is quite unique. It is in a fully restored 1950-1960 gas station, completely filled with garage nostalgia. The drink menu is pretty standard; they have a limited food menu that is served as small portion sizes.
I didn’t get food but the coffee was perfect. They had the biggest selection of syrups I’ve seen in a while which was fun :) very cool place
Came here for breakfast as I was passing through Deadwood and had a pleasant experience. The food and coffee was great and the staff were friendly and attentive. Parking is definitely something of an issue, but that's not exclusive to this store and is a bit problematic in…
As someone who is pretty particular about espresso extraction and milk texture, I have to say the oat milk latte I had at The Pump House was easily the best I’ve ever had. It’s clear they know their craft—the espresso was perfectly dialed-in and the oat milk was steamed to a…
There are so many options to personalize your experience and what you are craving! Cold brew is such a hit or miss item for me, but the one from here was SPOT ON! I drank it in less than 5 minutes😅 Price is amazing. Something for everyone. I didn't dine in, but it's cozy in…
Atmosphere is terrific, just too bad customer service is conducted by children. Food is fresh but not worth the money. $12 for a slice of tomato, bit of lettuce and a scrape of chicken. Coffee was cold. Don’t waste your money here. The staff couldn’t give a crap.
