Ceré Tea

Crema's Take
“Tucked near Westgate mall in Campbell, Ceré Tea is an intimate tea sanctuary with just a handful of tables where you can linger over expertly crafted matcha lattes and hojicha drinks that locals rave rival anything in the Bay Area. The shop's real magic lies in its meticulous attention to detail—their matcha is notably creamy and balanced with a subtle nuttiness, while their hojicha strikes that elusive sweet spot between rich and refined, making it worth the splurge for a genuine specialty experience without the international airfare.”

The store is pretty small only with 3 small tables on the side to sit down. They have a bench for folks to waiting for their drink. All drinks we ordered were with 50% sweetness. The Strawberry Green tea with pearl: tastes the best and most flavorful. The Guava Lemon Tea is decent. We can taste both the guava and lemon flavor but kinda weak though. , but 50% sweetness is not enough, probably need to do 75% sweetness next time. For the Passion Mango tea, the passion fruit flavor is stronger and we don't taste too much of the mango flavor much. This drink also needs to be sweeter than 50%. The line was got outside the door when we came today.
My perpetual dilemma is whether it's more worthwhile to plan international trips and enjoy amazing food/drinks for less, or to stay home and splurge. Cere Tea is a prime example of the latter. The matcha quality is indeed very good. I like how they also have hojicha and espresso-based drinks to cater to all tastes. They have the classics as well as several creative fun takes, such as the black sesame hojicha einspanner and the banana pudding matcha latte. I do adore their strawberry matcha latte; the strong, smooth matcha, jammy strawberry puree, and house-made cream are the perfect trifecta. It tastes as good as it looks, with vibrant colors and extra care for a strawberry syrup drizzle and freeze-dried strawberry pieces on top. I made sure to photograph the sht out of my aesthetic drink to make the most of my $8. Other notes: - Self-order on a kiosk, you get a text when it's ready but the barista also calls your name - Located in a random strip mall. Tbh I wasn't impressed with the space, and I think they could add more to the vibes. The lighting is dull, and it seems as though there were minimal renovations in the old building - Sound system is not bad, but could use an upgrade - Only 3 tables, a bench, and a plant. No wi-fi or outlets - Among their current locations, I think Burlingame is the most aesthetic and spacious - Saratoga location is best for grab and go, rather than cafe lounging - Alt milks available for +$0.85 - No ice has an additional $1.50 (it says extra shot? I wish they'd just have it as an option with the warning that the cup may not be full, or just add a bit more milk. Thankfully the amount of ice was reasonable)
I ordered the matchacano with an extra shot because I like a strong matcha flavor and it was pretty good. Maybe it was just my drink but I felt it tasted sort of powdery/grainy. I want to come back to try the matcha latte! Cafe had limited seating so definitely seems more takeout oriented.
The matcha latte here is truly outstanding—easily one of the best I’ve had in the Bay Area. It has a rich, creamy texture with a bold grassy flavor, balanced by a light bitterness and subtle nuttiness that speaks to the quality of the matcha they use. They’re generous with the portion and matcha content, making it an excellent value for the price. The interior is sleek, minimal, and very clean, though the space is a bit small. The employees are extremely friendly, and service is consistently fast and smooth, which really elevates the whole experience. I’ll definitely be coming back.
Been looking for a place with good hojicha latte and Cere Tea definitely has it. It's just a small tea shop near Westgate mall area with 2 small tables and 4 chairs to sit. I ordered my Hojicha Latte with an extra shot of hojicha, Lactose free milk, 25% sweet and easy ice and it was perfect! I live on the east side of San Jose but it was worth the drive to Saratoga. Will definitely come back when I have my hojicha craving again.
