Oxford Exchange
420 W Kennedy Blvd, Tampa Bay, FL
Crema's Take
“Oxford Exchange is a Tampa gem that feels like stepping into a sophisticated European library, with dark wood, curated book displays, and vintage portraits creating an atmosphere that's both refined and genuinely welcoming. Beyond excellent traditional coffee drinks like their earl gray tea latte, the kitchen delivers surprisingly impressive brunch fare—think smash burgers and full breakfast menus—making it as much a destination for food as for that perfect afternoon spent lingering over a cappuccino. The whole experience, from entering through the adjoining bookstore to settling into the elegant dining room or charming fountain courtyard, has a timeless, almost literary quality that makes you want to slow down and stay awhile.”

Let me start off by saying I didn’t get to spend time here. We were just moving through Tampa on our way out of town. I wish I could have spent the afternoon here. It was amazing! The design, the layout , the store layouts all Of it! Great place to read study meet or drink coffee or champagne and just breathe! Small but mighty book store area! Love love loved this !
Oxford Exchange delivers an elegant, refined lunch experience with a timeless feel. The space has a classic library vibe with dark wood, framed portraits, and a polished but welcoming atmosphere. I ordered the chicken burger with sweet potato fries. The chicken was thick, well seasoned, and flavorful. Not overly juicy, but very good. The fries were thin and crisp, slightly saltier than I prefer, but solid. Our server Joel was excellent and even brought extra avocado without being asked, which really elevated the experience. Located right across from the University of Tampa, it’s a great stop whether you’re visiting or local. Five stars.
Such a fun place for brunch! Servers were a little too attentive but we were well cared for. The earl gray tea latte and Bloody Mary were delicious. We were surprised by how good the smash burger was!! Brussels sprouts were insanely tasty as well!
Fun place and good food (on the pricey side for what you get). The outside dining area with a fountain is lovely but we sat instead inside. It’s noisy, especially if you sit near the open kitchen. My salad was good but could have used some tomato for both flavor and color. The service is excellent and they have a wait list for walk ins like us.
My husband and I had brunch at Oxford Exchange, and from the moment we walked in, I knew it was going to be a great experience. Entering through the bookstore and candle shop immediately sets the tone beautiful, inviting, and full of charm. It feels like you’ve stepped into something truly special. The atmosphere was absolutely wonderful: elegant yet comfortable, lively but peaceful. Our waitress was awesome attentive, warm, and made the entire experience even better. And the cappuccino? So good. Perfectly made and honestly one of the highlights of brunch. I also love the decor inside and how you get to write a note in the book after you have your meal. It’s very unique and it was our anniversary brunch so it really made it special. Oxford Exchange is one of those unforgettable places that stays with you long after you leave. I cannot wait to return the next time I’m in Tampa. A must-visit if you appreciate great ambiance, excellent service, and an all-around memorable experience.
