Yellow Hammer Coffee

This is coffee worth enjoying. Every special seasonal drink is worth trying. The cold/iced beverage selection is great. We stop in every week for a nice treat, and at home we stockpile bags of their beans to make daily cold brew. If you need a pick-me-up, absolutely stop by a Yellowhammer. The bank staff shows every week that they genuinely care, through quality service and customer interactions. I always feel comfortable walking into yellowhammer.

Yellowhammer Coffee is hands-down one of my favorite local spots in Mobile. I frequently visit their Bank location in West Mobile at the corner of Schillinger Road and Cottage Hill Road, which is their main location—and it never disappoints. This location features a four-lane drive-thru, which is incredibly convenient, and the service is always outstanding. Every visit comes with super friendly staff who genuinely seem happy to be there, which makes a big difference. The coffee menu is extensive, with something for everyone, and they also offer breakfast pastries like biscuits, croissants, and bagels. In the afternoons, they step it up with lunch sandwiches and wraps, making it an easy stop whether you’re grabbing a quick coffee or need something more filling. The building itself is one of the coolest parts of this location. It’s a re-adaptive reuse of an old bank, and you can actually enjoy your coffee inside the former vault, which has been converted into a small dining area. If you prefer to be outside, the outdoor patio is fantastic, with great furnishings and a relaxed vibe that’s perfect for enjoying a drink. Beyond coffee, they also offer energy drinks, cold brews, cold drinks, and slushies, so there’s plenty of variety. It definitely has a strong local vibe, and there’s almost always a crowd—which says a lot. They’re open Monday through Saturday and closed on Sundays. If you’re in Mobile and haven’t been to this Yellowhammer Coffee location yet, you’re missing out. Consistently great drinks, excellent service, and a truly unique space. Highly recommended.

Let me tell you guys - I frequent this place. The coffee is consistently good and they are always helpful when it comes to my dietary needs (I’m always coming straight from the gym and don’t want to crush my macros too hard). I want to give an extra shout out to Mason who is always a delight to have take my order, and to Kiara for being so sweet and kind at the order handoff! Can’t recommend this location enough, it really is my favorite coffee spot here in Mobile.

Another reason to love this place, as if I needed another. My wife and I stopped by today after I had a procedure done, and I wanted some caffeine. The lady that took our order asked how our day was going, and we mentioned the procedure and being at the hospital since 0500. She let us have our order for free as a part of a blessing budget. Way to go to the lady that served us today and Yellowhammer and thank you for the coffee. I will always recommend Yellowhammer. Not only for the coffee, but every employee I've interacted with at each location has always greeted me with a smile and shown a level of care and engagement that you don't get that often. The coffee was also great, very delicious and it hit the spot.
