Crema's Take
“T4 Davis has carved out a devoted following with their creative boba creations and impressive food offerings, particularly their Red paste sesame balls and popcorn chicken that keep customers coming back for more than just tea. While their strength lies in refreshing fruit teas and signature drinks like their Panda Milk Tea rather than premium single-origins, they shine with customization options and the flexibility to serve both hot and cold boba—a detail that speaks to their attentiveness to what their community wants. It's a casual spot where the energy is all about quick, satisfying indulgence rather than coffee ceremony, making it a neighborhood staple for Davis visitors and residents alike.”

Since I moved to Davis 2 years ago I would get boba every single week for at least 9-10 people and I will stop giving my service because the employee was very rude about not wearing a mask after the mandate has been lifted. I have no trouble wearing a mask if I had to but her attitude was just wrong. ___________________________________ Its been 4 years since my last post and i have not seen improvement unfortunately. Very disappointing! They seem to have a high turn over which is understandable but the née employees don't have professional manners. On top of that, during the $3 coupon in February i dont feel the employees are aware of how that functions. I ordered 3 drinks and was refused a coupon for the next visit. The hot roasted oolong milk tea had to be remade twice and it still was not good after having to wait 10min for my drinks. Mind you, this was at 12:30pm and we were the only customers. I can understand good service being hatd to find and i hope training is being offered for the future if not now.
When I visit Davis I come here for the boba but always end up buying the food as well. The Red paste sesame balls and the popcorn chicken is delicious. Love the option of cold and hot boba! Great place!
I don't have a favorite boba place on Davis, but this place is somewhere higher on my list. The tea quality isn't that high, so they are more for fruit teas. They run a bit sweet but not unusually so. They have a cute little seating nook with board games that is not awkward (photos here make it look sterile). Food items seem promising.
I ordered the specialty drink of Panda Milk Tea and it cost $6.10 (with tax). The pros of T4: a variety of options, especially when it comes to customizing the drinks. I was pleasantly surprised that opting for less ice did not cost extra. Nice interior decorations and choice of indoor or outdoor seating. Now, the cons: unfortunately, when preparing my drink, staff seemed to place the cup with too much force into the machine that attaches the lid. As a result, the tea splashed out and the machine stopped working. I watched staff pick plastic bits off from around the rim of the cup while the exterior of this offending cup was covered with sticky tea. I assumed that the drink might be remade at this point or transferred to a different cup but, instead, staff scooped ice into the same cup to make up for the tea spilled and announced the order was ready. As can be seen in my photo (without the straw), some tea still dripped down the sides of the cup. I see this as an unfortunate accident and I, in no way, consider the staff as being at fault for the machine malfunction. However, I was a bit taken back by their reaction when I asked what I think is a fair question of whether my drink was the one that was dropped. Though they did ask whether I wanted the drink to be remade, they were rather defensive and said that it didn't really "drop," pointedly asking me if there was an issue. I understand this was a difficult situation with the machine breaking down but I would rather not be put in a position where I am treated as unreasonable for asking about what I noticed. I'm afraid my experience was rather soured by this incident and I will go to a different place for bubble tea, especially considering the high price here for a merely mediocre drink.
I got the passion fruit smoothie from here last night and it was amazing! there was a bit of a wait though, considering some people who ordered first got their drinks earlier, but the smoothie was definitely good enough to make up for it
