Julien Boulangerie

Crema's Take
“This authentic Parisian-style boulangerie in Brooklyn delivers legitimately excellent pastries and baked goods that justify the premium pricing, with standout items like their pan au chocolat and lemon meringue tart that pack bold, unapologetic flavors. The quality is impressive for the intimate space, but arrive early since their best items tend to sell out by afternoon—a sign of genuine popularity rather than hype. It's the kind of place where you grab a traditional coffee and a flaky pastry for a quick but genuinely satisfying moment, though you might catch yourself lingering longer than expected.”

Top notch baked goods. They used to carry more breads but they cut back. Hope it's not a bad sign. What they have is still great.
Legit boulangerie. Awesome pan au chocolat. Bit pricy but cheaper than flight to Paris. I'll definitely be back.
We had the Lemon Meringue Tart which was really good but keep in mind if you’re not a lemon person this wouldn’t be for you the flavor is strong, the meringue was delicious & we had the Blood Orange Twist which it was amazing you need to keep this on the menu forever! The place is cute & very small. There is no seating. Also, they won 2nd place of the Best Croissant Competition in NY, People’s Choice & Best Original Creation. The staff are friendly & helpful! I’ll come back to try other pastries because everything looks really good!
Be sure to come here early if you want to score yourself some delicious baked goods. By mid afternoon many items can be sold out. From sandwiches to pastries, there's surely something for everyone. Unfortunately I have to give four stars as the server was slightly rude and didn't follow my cutting instructions after asking for my preference. Oh well -- the quality of food made up for it all!
My brother told me to check this place long time ago. At last I visited and was very pleasantly surprised of such great quality and flavor of the goods of such small place. They have probably the best croissants that I ever had. I also like their macaroons, very rich flavor and not overwhelmingly sweet (as they usually are). I definitely would like to come back and try their other backed goods.
