Bavarian Bakery and Coffee
613 Frontage Rd, Longmont, CO
Crema's Take
“Bavarian Bakery and Coffee is a beloved neighborhood gem that captures that nostalgic, cozy feeling of a traditional European bakery, where regulars return for freshly made breads and pastries crafted with organic ingredients. The spot balances the quick-grab coffee crowd with those looking to linger in a quaint, family-friendly space, though it's tucked away enough off Ken Pratt that you might drive past without noticing it. While their baked goods earn genuine devotion from the community—some items even make their way to local King Soopers—consistency can be hit-or-miss, so timing your visit for peak baking hours likely makes all the difference.”

Both the cinnamon roll and sticky bun were dry and tasted like they were at least a day old. I can’t imagine they were baked fresh on the Saturday we came in, which is surprising for a weekend. The person working was not overly welcoming or friendly. They offered to warm up the pastries my friends bought, but not mine.
Because Boulder was experiencing a power outage, I looked for a bakery and coffee shop in Longmont. A Google search showed that Bavarian Bakery had a strong reputation, so I decided to give it a try. Judging by the exterior alone, I probably would not have gone in, but after buying and tasting the pastries, I found them to be excellent. The coffee was also well made and flavorful. To my surprise, they do not ask for tips. I would definitely like to come back again.
I’ve been itching to make my way to this bakery and finally did as they were open thanksgiving morning. How I’ve missed cozy, quaint places like this that I remember growing up. The pastries were delicious and many different options (baklava, pies, breads, cakes, cookies) you name it - it felt like you walked into a classic spot in an NYC neighborhood or a town in Europe. The cappuccino was surprisingly out of this world. I highly recommend coming here for your go to treats and Bavarian rye breads or if you just want a relaxing spot to catch up with a friend like I did. Grateful that this small business is right in longmont!
I absolutely love Bavarian bakery. Their breads and pastries are absolutely delicious, made with fresh organic ingredients. You can find some of their breads at King Soopers. That’s how I was introduced to this bakery and I actually travel 40 minutes from my house just to buy their freshly made baked goods. I highly recommend this local family owned treasure.
This is such a cute location. We always drive past and never made the time to stop. We decided today something sweet was the perfect choice. The location is off Ken Pratt but it’s easy to miss when you’re going about your day to day. This is such an unassuming location but I’m so glad we stopped in. The baked good were delicious and so fresh. We ended up also getting two breakfast croissants that were also so good. They have some schnitzel sandwiches that we will try the next time we come in. They have a pizzeria attached and the pizza looked so good. We’ll have to give that a try next time. The staff there were so nice and helpful. It wasn’t a busy spot which I’m a bit surprised by.
