Murray Cafe

Crema's Take
“Murray Cafe is a welcoming neighborhood spot that brilliantly blends Filipino and Asian cuisine with serious specialty coffee, creating something genuinely unique in New York City. The staff goes above and beyond—happily crafting off-menu creations like ube matcha lattes alongside their excellent cold brew and traditional espresso drinks—while the spacious, laptop-friendly setting makes it perfect for lingering over both a great cup and calamansi-tinged comfort food that locals swear tastes like home.”

Corned beef with garlic fried rice was awesome. They were able to make me an ube matcha latte (even though it’s not on the menu) and it came out AMAZING - they nailed it. They also have great pastries - the almond croissant is golden. Perfect spot for merienda (snack) or full meals.
This Cafe offers some options of food from Asia, like noodles and Filipino rice bowls, in addition to cakes and coffee. The prices are affordable and the location is spacious and well lit. For the hot food, they make it to order, so you will need to come with patience, especially if there are many orders. But it means the food always comes hot and fresh. The menu has a good amount of options, from adobo, ramen, lumpia, and tava. The adobo has a really strong vinegar punch, which is authentic.
Love this place! There's plenty of seats the coffee is so good, and the staff were so kind. I got the iced white mocha for my first visit and it tastes perfect. I'm excited to visit this spot more often cause it's got the perfect combo for me with good coffee and Asian rice bowls.
ME AND KAYLA FOUND THE BEST FILIPINO FOOD IN NEW YORK CITY Y’ALL!!!!!!!! THE FOOD TASTED LIKE HOME AND IT MADE ME EMO! WILL BE GOING HERE AT LEAST ONCE A WEEK!!!! THE UBE LATTE WAS DIVINE!!!!!!! 🇵🇭😋🤤🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭
Beautiful café with welcoming and friendly baristas. I tried the white mocha and have been going back whenever I get the chance. They offer a nice variety of food options, though I haven’t been able to try them yet due to dietary restrictions. Until then, I’ll happily keep going back for the coffee.
