Crema's Take
“Tucked into the elegant Clifton neighborhood on lower Frankfort Avenue, this beautifully reimagined space offers a rare combination of polish and genuine warmth, where the staff genuinely encourages you to be adventurous with seasonal drinks and specialty options. The thoughtfully designed interior strikes that sweet spot between Instagram-worthy and actually comfortable—clean, quiet, with ample seating and easy parking that makes it perfect for lingering over coffee with a friend or settling in with your laptop.”

Another elegant coffee shop in the Clifton neighborhood, on lower Frankfort Avenue. Can't imagine why more people don't frequent it. The architect did a great job of repurposing and expanding Jerry's former house/treasure yard.
CONTEXT - Chill coffee date with the wife. PRO - Easy parking off-street. - Exceptionally clean venue. - No wait at counter. - Helpful, friendly, and relaxed staff. - Ample seating downstairs (window rail, tables, couches serving as half-booths), outdoor seating (with a very aesthetic, vaulted ceiling), and upstairs (more tables, couches). Seems an easy spot to chill, chat, study, etc. Not overly loud. - Well thought-out seasonal menu (didn’t get the main menu). - Strictly for the sake of this review and definitely for no other reason, I tried a pastry despite coming for coffee only. The handpie looked popular (low quantity) and I enjoyed it. - Winter Solstice Latte was remarkable. Tasted a bit like blackberry pie. One of the better coffees I’ve had lately — and I’ve been to a lot of really excellent coffee shops. - Coquito Latte w/ oat milk (wife’s choice) was also delicious. CON - Coconut milk would be a nice addition for the non-dairy crowd in the future. BOTTOM LINE - Definite repeater. We shall return.
Our barista was super sweet helping us pick some drinks. Customer service is over the moon as she said she would make me something different if I didn’t like my choice. She told me to be adventurous! The spalding was super tasty. Cafe is dog friendly, offers water for humans and dogs and has many places to sit back and study or read.
I wish I knew about this place sooner! This coffee shop is beautifully decorated and the staff was kind and welcoming. They offer a selection of pastries along with a seasonal coffee menu. We ordered the blueberry scone and cinnamon danish and both were delicious. The cinnamon toast latte was perfectly sweet and spiced. The first floor has limited seating but they have a full room upstairs as well as 2 outdoor seating options.
I stopped by right before their move to Frankfort Avenue. Nice range of lattes and boozy options, too. Inside was clean and quiet when I stopped by. The owner was lovely, and he has some coffee art skills. I look forward to checking out their new location and trying something a little harder on a day when I can stay a while.
