Rice Fruit Farm
757 Main St, Springfield, MA
Crema's Take
“This nostalgic Springfield gem feels like stepping back in time, with an impressive in-house bakery turning out pastries and scones that reviewers can't stop raving about. Beyond the standout baked goods, they nail the breakfast and lunch classics—think excellent sandwiches and surprisingly great hot dogs—all served in a genuinely family-friendly atmosphere that draws weekend crowds for good reason. It's the kind of place that does a few things exceptionally well and pairs them with that rare, unhurried vibe that makes you want to linger over cold brew and soak in the local charm.”

Rice fruit farm is a great place for light fair. The sandwiches are excellent. But I think they’re best known for their pastries which are out of this world. Definitely plan on bringing some goodies home. I highly recommend the muffins. I once brought one of their pies home and we were kind of disappointed that for 16 bucks it was great but all the other pastries they sell seem to be smashing success. In the summer months, they have a great ice cream bar.
We've been for breakfast on a Saturday morning. The sandwiches were great, hot and fresh and the iced coffee was good too. It's a very popular spot so there was a wait but not too long. We have also come here for icream cream which was really good and they had tons of flavors to choose from. Lastly, I was truly pleasantly surprised at how amazing their Thanksgiving pies were and reasonably priced. I look forward to ordering again next year!
I desperately want to give this place fiive stars because the food and atmosphere are fantastic! The pies, pastries, ice cream stand, frequent actives and live music are all wonderful. The kitchen is sadly quite slow if it gets even slightly busy. I often order in advance but about 15 minutes and still end up waiting upwards of 20 minutes for a breakfast sandwich and coffee.
The hot dogs are very good!! We weren’t crazy about the Italian cookies but the scones on display looked incredible. Ordering was very quick and friendly but the hotdogs took a little while to come out (went on a Saturday afternoon). Lots of options for food and fun retail stuff to look through/buy as well.
A wonderful throw back from the past! I've been here a few times I love it. The bakery items are to die for. Everything made in the facility. What a novelty to have a place like this still existing. They offer sandwiches and bagels with coffee and tea - iced and hot selections. My mocha coffee iced was wonderful. My grilled cheese was Classic and worth the money. I also bought as much as I could pastries and pies. Since I don't live near the area. I definitely want to make sure I have enough to bring home. Definitely, check it out!
