Crema's Take

Good Company is that rare spot where stellar pastries and genuinely excellent coffee exist in equal measure, housed in a pristine, modern space that feels equally welcoming whether you're dashing in for a quick grab or settling in for a leisurely morning. The doughnuts here are genuinely memorable—think maple pecan coffee cake and creative flavor combinations—and they're backed by a surprisingly thoughtful beverage program that goes beyond basic coffee, making it easy to understand why regulars keep coming back. It's the kind of place that manages to feel both refined and unpretentious, with warm service that makes meeting friends or bringing the family feel like a genuine experience rather than a transaction.

Man, I gotta tell you about this doughnut spot I found. The food there is absolutely killer, seriously some of the best I've ever had. I really dug the atmosphere, and the service was top-notch, super friendly and quick. My only minor gripe is that finding a good seat was a bit of a challenge. Despite that small issue, it's definitely a place I'll be returning to for those amazing treats.

I finally made it to Good Company Doughnuts, and it’s safe to say this is one of the better-kept spots in VA. The shop is super clean and has a modern, welcoming energy that works whether you’re grabbing a quick treat or sitting down for a full meal. I love the spacious vibrant design of this place, plenty of seating and standing area. I came for the donuts but stayed for the quality. I tried the Black Forest Vegan Donut 🍩, and it was soooooooooo delicious. Sometimes vegan pastries can be hit-or-miss with texture, but this one was spot on… rich, flavorful, and definitely a must-try. I wish they have a few more options for vegan donuts though. I had try Kings Hot Cocoa ☕️ with Oatmilk, so happy they have non-dairy milk substitutions available. I love that they use housemade cocoa here. It’s a more sophisticated version of hot chocolate, definitely more bitter than sweet, next time I will ask for chocolate sauce to be added to off balance the bitterness. It’s rich and authentic, not that powdery artificial stuff you find at chains. I was surprised by their huge variety. Beyond the wall of donuts, they have a full breakfast menu, plus happy hour and drink specials. It seems like a great place to transition from a morning coffee to a late afternoon cocktail. They also have a rewards program, which is a no-brainer to sign up for if you live in the area with just your phone number. The staff was very nice and patient while I was deciding (it’s hard to choose when everything looks so good!). The whole place is very well-kept and feels like a spot where they actually care about the details. ✨ The only slight hurdle is the parking 🅿️ situation. It’s paid street parking, and it can be a bit of a challenge to find an open spot nearby. Just give yourself a few extra minutes to circle the block or be prepared to walk a short distance it’s def worth it!

Good Company Doughnuts & Cafe in National Landing features a variety of unique doughnuts, beverages including coffee and wine, as well as breakfast and lunch options like egg sandwiches and avocado toast. We visited on a late Sunday afternoon, and parking was free at the nearby garage (it's also free after 4 pm on weekdays and on weekends). The atmosphere is clean and modern, with extra seating upstairs. The staff were friendly and provided excellent service by bringing our food and drinks to our table after ordering. The Mocha Cream doughnut was delicious—moderately sweet to satisfy a craving—and the Long John doughnuts filled with Bavarian cream and covered with chocolate coating were outstanding, showcasing the high quality of this popular donut shop. However, the matcha latte was watered down, and the Vietnamese coffee lacked its distinctive flavor, indicating that enhancing these drinks could improve the overall experience.

The restaurant itself is very cute—nicely organized. They offer a wide variety of donuts and have a solid menu overall. I ordered the brisket egg sandwich and the maple pecan coffee cake donut. Unfortunately, both items were a bit disappointing. The brisket sandwich had great bread, but the overall flavor fell flat; I was hoping for a stronger pickling element and more depth. As for the donut, it was extremely sweet. I ordered the mini, which was the perfect portion size, and the texture of the donut itself was excellent. Once I removed some of the frosting, the donut underneath was actually delicious. Overall, I would visit again, but I wouldn’t order the same items. And if you decide to get a donut, just be aware—they are very sweet!

Not the best donuts I ever had but pretty damn good and the coffee is amazing. Enjoyed it so much that I came by twice during my trip (Pentagon City location). Both times the staff was welcoming and gave great recommendations.
