Crema's Take

This intimate Northwest location punches well above its weight with genuinely excellent coffee that rivals what you'd find in specialty coffee capitals, earning particular praise from customers with international coffee experience. The compact, relaxed space offers plenty of parking and a quieter alternative to their busier Midtown location, making it ideal for a peaceful sit or meeting, though service consistency seems to vary between visits. Their espresso-focused menu and pour over options showcase real craftsmanship in the cup, even if the staff's hospitality could use some polish to match the quality of what they're brewing.

This Old World Coffee location is smaller than the Midtown one, but it feels intimate and relaxed. There's plenty of parking, the service was good, and when I visited it wasn't crowded at all, which made it even more enjoyable. One of the coolest parts is being able to see them roast the coffee, it's very unique and almost feels like you're in a science lab. They also have a great selection of merch and coffee bean bags available for purchase with unique notes. One tip: Since the space is small, the cold comes in when the door opens. Bring a sweater if you get cold easily. I know I do. Overall, a great spot for coffee lovers who enjoy a quieter, behind-the-scenes vibe ☕️. Side note: My go to is always a hot Americano to get a taste of the coffee. It was delicious. I also enjoy their herbal tea. It comes in a light bulb 💡. Super unique.

The mocha was actually very good. Even though I asked for an iced mocha and received a hot one, the drink itself tasted great. Unfortunately, the barista’s attitude and the overall atmosphere made the experience uncomfortable and left me not wanting to come back.

The coffee here is genuinely great . the quality and flavor are some of the best I’ve had. I really enjoy the drinks. However, the customer service could be better. Each time I’ve visited, the baristas have seemed unwelcoming and a bit dismissive, which makes the environment feel uncomfortable. I hope this is something that can be improved, because the coffee itself is excellent

This has to be some of the best coffee I've had being back in the states. I just moved back to the US from Australia where the coffee is phenomenal and I have to say this place definitely stacks up. The service was great and I'll definitely be coming back every day I have left here in Reno.

I've been going to the NW location because Midtown never has any Firefly on Tuesdays. Imagine my great shock today that the two for Tuesdays deal of 25.00 is now 35.00. A 40% increase!! I don't begrudge a business owner charging whatever they like, if people will pay it, and think it’s OK. However, in Reno there are other roasters that know how to roast coffee, and have really good beans. I went down to the CO-OP and got some No City for 19.99 lb. Sorry Old World, I won’t support you at that price.
