Crema's Take

Normandy Farms is a Charleston gem where the pastries and bread genuinely steal the show—locals rave about the bear claws and croissants with real passion. The real draw here is the unhurried, community-focused vibe where you're meant to linger over coffee and conversation, though fair warning that seating can be inconsistent. The sandwiches are excellent and reasonably priced, making it a solid all-day spot if you catch it when the full space is open.

Cozy coffee shop with some truly spectacular pastries and bread. It’s worth sitting for the community atmosphere. Try the bear-claws!!!

It was incredibly delicious that I had breakfast twice. The first time, I had a ham and cheese croissant, and the second time, I indulged in an apple bear claw. So, maybe it was breakfast and dessert, rather than breakfast twice. It was fantastic, and it won’t be my last visit.

The place is like under renovation or only opening half the space for some reason and lacks any seating, but the sandwiches were amazing, and a great price! The coffee was fine but the sandwiches are definitely the star. Probably the best focaccia bread I’ve ever had! *UPDATE* went back in November and renovations were done, still a small space and quite crowded, but worth it!

Unfortunately this place which has amazing potential is really missing the mark. The owners need to shut down for a few days and do a deep clean on the whole entire place. There are fingerprints on all glass, debris everywhere, and it’s just very obvious that cleanings and maintenance haven’t been a priority. Good siting under heat lamps at a place that is suppose to be artisanal is crazy.
