Nova's Restaurant and Coffee Shop
1265 Stuyvesant Ave., Elizabeth, NJ
Crema's Take
“Nova's is a relaxed Elizabeth spot where you can linger over traditional coffee drinks while diving into generous breakfast portions that lean into Latin-inspired pastries like fresh alfajors and fruit pies. The vibe is genuinely family-friendly and welcoming, with staff who go the extra mile, though consistency with both food quality and service can be a bit uneven depending on when you visit. It's the kind of place where you'll want to settle in for a work meeting or catch up with friends over something homemade and satisfying.”

I been to this place twice and the second time there was a young girl in the front with a nasty attitude. I came to this shop to seat and have a work meeting after a strength class. I asked for a coffee to stay as well as an avocado toast for which I paid for. She was trashing me in Spanish thinking I couldn’t understand her with the guy from the kitchen. Not ok to do to customers. I asked for a refund so I can leave since I can feel I wasn’t welcome and they refused to give me a refund to my credit card. They asked for me to call my bank because they can’t provide a refund.
Beautiful place but the food overpriced with no flavor. I ordered a breakfast platter “3 eggs, home fries and toast” it was not 3 eggs .. home fries had old tasting peppers and onions. The toast was not toasted nor did it have butter. 16 dollars for this was a rip off. I don’t even know what kind of bacon they put. One piece of the non toasted toast was missing the crust. Never again.
Such a pleasant place. Great food, customer service. Portion was HUGE. My sister and I shared a plate and still had leftovers. Dessert was simply delicious. I will most definitely be back.
Everything with a crust is so yummy and the alfajor cookies are fresh and tasty. Looking forward to going back for the fruit pies. The location is nice and the service went beyond.
Very friendly and helpful staff. The food was delicious and I would definitely recommend it. The potatoes with the omelet were nice and crispy on the outside it was a nice touch. I enjoyed my meal however I can admit the coffee was not my favorite neither was the latte both seemed a little off.
