Original Firehouse Coffee
2185 Cubit St, Eugene, OR
Crema's Take
“Tucked in Eugene, this firehouse coffee stand has earned fierce loyalty with creative signature drinks like their legendary Bananas Foster latte and mocha milkshakes that keep regulars coming back over bigger chains. The baristas genuinely know their customers, and while the service shines warmest when you have a favorite on staff, the quality espresso-forward drinks and willingness to experiment with flavor combinations make it worth the visit and the slightly higher price tag.”

Delicious latte from this place. Very friendly service from the girl working the stand
Great coffee and great service! The barista was friendly and the Bananas foster latte was AMAZING!
This is the only place I like my coffee. I have tried all over the place Dutch Bros, BlackRock, Starbucks, and many mom and pops local. I don’t even have to give the girls my order. Any place will have a turn around in staff however this place runs flawless. Most people never know you by sight but this place does.
The coffee tastes great! Their Mocha Milkshakes are the best around. However, They have a high employee turnover rate. Sucks having to tell new people your order over and over again. It makes customers feel great to have their order already known when you pull up.
I occasionally get coffee here on my way to work. It’s expensive and they charge more if you pay with card vs cash. Their stamp cards have quite a few punches and don’t even offer a free item, just a discount. What brought me here though, is I asked them to fix a mistake and they wouldn’t. Recently, I had a friend pick me up a hot mocha. By the time I got it, the foam was settled and the drink was just over half full. I went back to ask them to remake it and they brushed it off saying “the foam settles, that happens sometimes” and proceeded to charge me for my drink. When I asked if they would remake the drink for free since the cup was not even close to full (I showed the picture), I was told “if I give anything away for free my boss will have my ass”. I’m not usually one to complain so this interaction left a bad taste in my mouth. Bummer that the boss would be so stingy that baristas can’t use their best judgement to make things right. Refusing to rectify a mistake is awful customer service.
